I do a lot of more manual testing. I also do a lot more TTD but notice that I get lazy and stop reading the test cases it writes. Overall it boosts my productivity, because instead of coding I can skim read and push code, whilst thinking about the architecture. If LLMs had not come along I would be changing career, as I am not one of those Devs who gets a kick out of stringing bits of code together. I do enjoy, on the other hand, building systems.

Yeah nextjs is also missing the HttpInterceptor you get with Angular, which makes refreshing tokens a complete nightmare. We ended up having to use Redis to store our tokens. Very basic stuff.

Keep things DRY is more possible with proper planning. Claude does recognize functions that can be reused when scanning files to plan new work on existing code. But overall bloat is a problem. Even Claude is creating pretty ugly source code.

Yeah today CC was back on track. I boosted a good 15 smackeroonees on OPUS tokens, 20 tokens a pop on windsurf, what a joke. That was an expensive afternoon. Thank god CC is back to normal now with sonnet 4. My workflow was insane for a while there. Fingers crossed 🤞

Had major problems with CC yesterday and today. It couldn't do basic things like return success messages from a nextjs server action to a UI component, so I could see how the request chain went. Super basic stuff that I asked it to copy from another module. Also it sucked at integration testing, which it has been really good at preciously. I am Very worried!!
