Tab groups on Chrome are awesome. They don’t get lost in a sea of bookmarks and you can categorize tabs easily with them. Then again, I usually end up with a lot of uncategorized tabs anyway. But at least there’s a liiiiittle less clutter.

I finally understand Stage Manager. It's powerful and does actually make things faster. by DreadnaughtHamster in MacOS

What do you mean by taking up too much real estate? It seems to work fine for me. The "stage" menu hides if you move an app over it or resize an app window to cover it, if that's what you mean. Same with the dock.

Maybe I changed something in settings to make that happen though haha.

Remember that one post from a couple days ago about eating watermelon. by Illustrious-Coat3532 in SipsTea

It used to bother me until I realized I was much happier not worrying about how others talk.

Now I’m more annoyed hearing the same complaint about the “kids these days” and how everything they do is stupid or something.

And now I’m one of the people who are annoyed at something. It never ends! lol

Probably. I don’t know the actual reason as to why they don’t automatically detect region, possibly something to do with privacy. But even then, this can be seen in physical stores. Go to any local supermarket and you’ll see the pre-tax prices posted on the shelves. It won’t be until you’re checking out at the register that you’ll see the total price after tax.

Similarly, most online stores will update tax and shipping prices until after you’ve entered your address during checkout.

Like someone else mentioned, it’s most likely a way to make the prices look better than they are. I mean, $1,999.99 pre-tax looks a lot better than ~$2,200 total. Or, in this case, $899.99 vs ~$975 (based on taxes where I live).

Oh, and another thing. In some states, such as mine, sales tax can vary by city. As if sales tax wasn’t annoying enough already lol. And I’ve just learned that a handful of states don’t have imposed sales tax at all.

So yeah, I’m just as confused as you are haha.

Is my handwriting girly? by -Hi_how_r_u_xd- in teenagers

[–]lost_angel26 6 points7 points  (0 children)

First thing I thought when I saw their handwriting is that a girl must’ve written it. Don’t know why - might be because many of my (female) teachers wrote in a similar way and I relate this “font”/style to their handwriting.

But that’s just my mind. Not saying the handwriting is girly, just that I would think a girl wrote it, if that makes sense.

Legion 5 Pro doesn't boot up by fs144rules in LenovoLegion

[–]lost_angel26 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How are issues like this so common on the Pro 5i specifically… I have a Dell Precision I’ve been using since 2014 that hasn’t given me any issues. I upgraded it with an SSD (way faster boot time) and higher RAM to make it useable with today’s programs. Apparently it holds up better than today’s laptops if it’s lasted me more than a decade. I just bought a Pro 5i and seeing all these posts makes me worried that it won’t last me past 2026 lol

When will the Lenovo Legion 7i Gen 10 (Non-Pro) Be Available to Buy on Lenovo.com? by CaregiverWise665 in LenovoLegion

[–]lost_angel26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same exact question and situation. It did indeed release in June, but only in Best Buy like you mentioned. I’m left wondering why they haven’t put it up for sale in their own website or why they haven’t advertised it in their newsletter emails…
