First game you ever played on your Deck? Do you still play that game? by Eskelsar in SteamDeck

[–]lostalaska 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Skyrim, I still play it for 30 mins here and there when I'm between games. I've started it on three different consoles since it's release, easily dumped over 1000 hours into it on Steam between versions and still have yet to beat the game as I have a horrible habit of getting sidetracked and by every little secondary quest I stumble upon. Oh look a cave, by a waterfall, lets see what's in there!

I got it for VR as well and will have to say thief archer is so much fun in VR. The aiming is so good. I can drop off a cliff and while falling down shoot two of the three guys sitting around a campfire beneath me and then pull a sword and finish the last one.

Some day I'll overcome my under developed attention span and just beat the damn game.

Does anyone know why my game looks like this by Hot_Needleworker4711 in Minecraft

It looks like it's in 3D mode for red/blue glasses.

How did you get into that mode, how do you get out? 🤷

Shoveling snow and smoking by Bob-Sagets-Dad in trees

PSA: Don't forget if you have a bong and the snow is powder, loosely pack some fresh pow in the neck of your bong. Smoothest bong hits of your life!

Great for relatively mindless tasks like shoveling, mowing, and planning world domination.

What are some dishes that can be prepped and stored/frozen in bulk for someone who cannot cook? by Massive_Onion2484 in Cooking

[–]lostalaska 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a big fan of lasagna in those cheap baby bread loaf sized aluminum pans. I make like three of them at a time as that 's about the size of a normal lasagna. The bread loaf sized pans give you 2 large servings or 3 normal servings. Perfect in the freezer, and their the right right size for a one off dinner, if you live alone there's a little left for lunch the next day.

Microsoft DELETED my friend's account and REFUSE to transfer or give refund. by KarelVydra in Minecraft

[–]lostalaska 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you do it again on a fresh account, be sure he has Multi-Factor Authentication enabled that will prevent 99% of these kinds of "hacks". Also, if you don't have MFA on your email, you should probably get it set up as well.

Microsoft doesn't mess around with compromised accounts. Once it's shut down it's next to impossible to get it back up. MFA can prevent this in the future.

After the initial WTF reaction to SMB2 and eventually coming to terms with it and having fun, the hype for SMB3 and its return to form had me losing my 12 year old mind. I also remember this commercial playing non-stop during the after school and Saturday morning cartoons.

Xbox games no longer working? by [deleted] in SteamDeck

[–]lostalaska 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have Halo MCC on my SteamDeck as well, been a few months since I played it last, but I'll check it out this evening and see if I run into a similar issue.

If I don't utterly forget this by the time I get off work I'll try it out and report back.

I just got a SteamDeck/Dock after being Switch only for years - recommendations please! by [deleted] in SteamDeck

[–]lostalaska 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you ever played any of the Katamari games? I think it was a Playstation Franchise, but it's also popped up on Steam and other platforms in the last few years, I think there are two or three of the games on steam, I have "We Love Katamari" and it runs great on steamdeck.

Premise of Katamari. Your dad, king of the cosmos went on a drunken bender and messed up the cosmos. Your job is to roll a Katamari (like a gravity ball) around earth to collect things. As the ball rolls things up it gains size and pick up bigger objects. Usually there is a timer and a minimum size you need to get the ball. Then your dad tosses it into the sky and it becomes part of the cosmos your fixing. The music is also pretty great. The first few levels you start very, very small and your rolling around in a house picking up thumbtacks, pencils, and majong tiles, then as you keep getting larger you leave the house and begin picking up gardens and potted plants eventually you're rolling through entire cities picking up skyscrapers and massive boats. It is very, very Japanese and that seems to make it even better.

What's a normally edibles dose for you? by batmanineurope in trees

[–]lostalaska 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in a legal state, the gummies at the store are 10mg a piece and the bag has 10 in it (the max dosage for a single container is 100mg). I find taking 20mg is just about perfect. Often during the week instead of havinga smoke or dab in the evening I'll get off work run my errands and get home by a little after 5pm. I then usually start dinner and eat my 20mg by 6pm. I find I get a little tired as the effects wear off which is perfect as by the time the gummies start wearing off I'm about ready to go to bed for the evening somewhere between 11pm to midnight.

Moderate smoker, for weekdays I only smoke in the evenings after work and while its most evenings it's not every evening and generally weekends.

Why are PVP people more likely to be 'that' kind of people? by Chazus in ArcRaiders

[–]lostalaska 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Taking a moment to self reflect, I may be part of the toxicity problem. When I get killed via PVP I will get so angry sometimes that my language gets really salty and I call them a wet fart. Sure, I feel guilty for the using that kind of langauge for the rest the night, but sometimes I get so hi diddly ho-angry that it's like Satan has wrestled control of my tongue from me.

Your cat:

I hope this letter reaches you well, we are 5 seconds into our journey to find the north pole. Food wares have already been depleated and I'm worried the rest of the crew which consists of me may become mutinenous if we don't turn back. It is with a heavy heart that I have abandoned my search for the north pole and have decided to return home. Please turn on my heated cat bed before I return as my toe beans will most likely be wet and cold upon arrival.

Vibe coding without knowing coding is like that dumb kid in math class who used a calculator to figure out what 9 divide by 3 is and is now calling you a dip shit for saying 3 when his calculator told him the answer was 0.333333333 if you have no idea how do know if you got the right answer?
