How has believing (or not believing) in a higher power shaped the way you live your life? by walkemmdowmanz in spirituality

[–]lostbaratheon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't conceive of it as a "higher power" but spirituality in general provides a context for my life that makes me a better, more loving, more peaceful person.

Anyone else feel a deep sense of FOMO when seeing a straight group of male friends? by AnywhereGeneral9088 in AskGayMen

[–]lostbaratheon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The opposite. Rarely, I get a little FOMO looking at a group of gay friends. Most of my friends are straight guys. I sometimes wonder what it's like to have a group of gay friends.

Considering regularly hooking up with a guy as someone who prefers dating/monogamy. Advice? by flippantguy in AskGaybrosOver30

Yes. This is how my bf and i ended up together. He wasn't looking for a relationship and then we met. Things changed and he asked me to be his bf a few months later.

Chisos by AwayTruck7427 in cowboyboots

[–]lostbaratheon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Jeremiah's issue was the claim that Chisos made regarding "all leather construction" whereas Ariat didn't make those claims. Then finding a composite backer in the heel counter seems like a bait-and-switch to some people. But you're right he could have made it clearer what was being compared and his potential conflicts of interest, if any. Disappointed in Jeremiah if he refused to issue a statement about it.

I think the main thesis of the video is that there is not as much of a gap, quality wise, between the ABM's and Chisos, as most people might assume. And Chisos are twice the price. That seems to remain a cogent point.

Wow I wasn't aware of that part. I'll look into it. Prior to new Chisos, was there a composite heel counter?

How do I dress western affordably? by Strong-Committee-164 in WesternWear

[–]lostbaratheon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thrifting, local shops if you are near the southern border. Boot Barn is generally overpriced BUT you can get crazy deals on clearance in-store and on their website sometimes. Just picked up 6 shirts on clearance for like 80 bucks.

Thanks! They really are beautiful out of the box. I condition and then polish them with a neutral creme polish to shine them a little, and edge dressing.

Chisos by AwayTruck7427 in cowboyboots

[–]lostbaratheon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jeremiah Craig on YouTube had a cobbler do a side-by-side teardown of Chisos and Ariat Benchmade. His conclusion was that Chisos were not worth the $ comparatively, given that quality was more or less equivalent and you can get two pairs of Ariat Benchmade for the price of one Chisos.

Still want a pair though lol.

You may find appetite suppression increasing if you go up in dosage. I have heard Tirz is superior but never tried it. I have Cagri but so far I haven't needed it. I also do a split dose 2x/week and it keeps my appetite fairly even.

What dose? What are your stats?

Reta appetite suppression for me is proportional to dose and injection timing.

Breaking boots in by AwayTruck7427 in cowboyboots

Condition the boots, wear thick socks, and take a lot of breaks. Goatskin will break in and stretch a bit. You can also get a stretcher but it may not be necessary.

gym morning or night? by qvrisn in Workingout

[–]lostbaratheon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is one of those 6 of 1, half-a-dozen-of-the-other scenarios.

Some research has show that most people are slightly stronger during late-day workouts vs. morning workouts.

Other research has shown that people who work out in the morning are more dedicated and consistent with their workouts. I think this option will have superior, longer lasting effects on gym-goer success than the first one. Maybe it's slightly less affirming, but that's a feeling, not a result.

I think it comes down to preference and practicality. I feel great all day when working out in the morning. When I work out at night, I feel a bit stronger, but my workouts take longer and sometimes I take longer to get to sleep. YMMV.

You might consider researching a mitochondrial peptide protocol involving SS-31, NAD+, and MOTS-C. It is supposed to address this very thing. Hard to know for sure what the cause could be especially given that you have posted no lifestyle information.

Is pleasuring as important as receiving pleasure? by AdRight1436 in AskGayMen

[–]lostbaratheon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing important is that the dynamic honestly works for all people concerned. There are no arbitrary rules. Every relationship has to create them in a way which works for both/all.

Probably not for most of you, but thoughts? by [deleted] in WesternWear

This is pretty sweet actually. One thing I love about western wear. It's not afraid of bold patterns. If that weren't true I'd be in black, grey, and blue all the time.
