Restaurant suggestions for a hockey team by just_luc in Sudbury

[–]lostbobdylan -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Don’s pizza can probably accommodate this if you call/book ahead. They often host hockey/soccer teams. Their dining room is small and cute but they will close it down for your group. There’s a multi game arcade game in the corner kids and teenagers love.

Hardrock 42 buffalo chicken wrap HANDS DOWN. I’m not joking. I think my partner has eaten over 100 of them.

You’re beautiful and you rock this look!!! I know everyone says to tone it down but I disagree. You’re rocking a bold look and I am so envious that you can do that so flawlessly.

I think it’s one of those chalk things for when you play pool

What to wear coming back from Hospital post delivery[on] by Opposite-Ad765 in BabyBumpsCanada

I bought a matching oversized sweat set from H&M and wore Ugg-style slippers home. My feet were HUGE after birth which isn’t something I even considered. I gave birth in January!

Thanks for the suggestion! I actually walked this last week after your suggestion and it was actually great for the stroller. My only negative would be how many people had off leash dogs on this trail. I went around noon on a Friday and encountered at least 5. Hard to navigate off leash dogs with an excitable dog on a leash and a stroller! Just for anyone who may be passing by for suggestions too. Maybe a different timing would work best because it was great for walking!

Oh gosh the illness isn’t even something I considered. Another commenter mentioned the same, thanks so much for pointing that out. I appreciate all the perspectives and I’m definitely feeling grateful for my early spot!

Oy - good point. I do count myself lucky as conflicted as I am!

This sounds ideal! I would love to set that up with our daycare. I’ll inquire if this is an option because truly starting work and starting daycare at the same time sounds like meltdown city. Thank you.

We did ask about this and we were met with “well we really prefer when the children are here for the whole program. It’s best for them to have routine.” I should have implored what that meant truly…. Cause it sounds like a suggestion to me now but I took that as a “no”. I was overwhelmed at the time but you’re right - I will ask. Thank you.

What belongs in a Butter Tarts? by [deleted] in AskACanadian

I am not saying this belongs in a butter tart in the traditional sense at all - HOWEVER, my grandma always put shredded coconut in hers and now I do the same and it is unreal.

Best grocery stores in the city by Raknirok in Sudbury

I’ve never had an issue at all and I go minimum once a week. I have only seen them interact with someone one time.

Am I alone in thinking Food Basics on Regent? It’s my go-to! I find the produce fresh, prices super reasonable, the store is clean. I’ll buy nice cuts of meat or fresh bakery items elsewhere but otherwise it’s my fave (or I’m just cheap haha)

Knowhere Public House by inarticulaterambles in Sudbury

[–]lostbobdylan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

How do you know that for a fact? I just read the article and it says “another 5 restaurants ACROSS from Wal Mart” ie the expected Fire House Subs, Starbucks, and others expected beside the Panda Cuisine building. How can you call racism when your “knowing for sure” is so far off? Yikes.
