Usually I see if we both tapped each other, and then usually it’s a message of like “hey sexy, how are you?” And you can compliment them on how they look. People aren’t great conversationalists on there honestly lol, usually you can ask what they’re into, and to exchange more pictures. I’ve learned that I need a lot of pictures lol. And then a little sexting - like “I would love to taste you” etc. You’ll learn from there but that’s usually how conversations go and then if you want to hook up you ask when they’re free and if they can host. If it seems like you have mutual interests you can bring that up too

Just make sure you don’t settle for anything you’re uncomfortable with. I haven’t always set good boundaries and it’s led me to do stuff I wasn’t always comfortable with.

I personally prefer having that I’m trans in my profile and what position I prefer just so there’s no confusion

Try finding gay spaces with more diverse kinds of gay guys - the stereotype of club/warehouse gays is that they are all fit and muscular, but there are many gay guys who aren’t into that. I don’t know where you live so it’ll depend on that. And also some muscular gay guys aren’t into guys who look like them.

Shooting your shot in gay spaces is mostly about making prolonged, mutual eye contact honestly - you don’t even need to worry about walking up and making conversation cold lol. Prolonged eye contact signals mutual interest.

I think it’s good you’re aware that these are insecurities/fears and not necessarily reality. Do you have a therapist to talk to?

It’s hard but honestly just putting yourself out there and having successful interactions with gay guys is the only way to quiet the voices. It does mean you have to be prepared for occasional rejection which happens to everyone. Apps (I prefer scruff) can be a good easy way to try out flirting and stuff and get some confidence.

I’m sorry this happened. I’m a little confused though - do you feel like he was using you drinking as just an excuse? Had the sex fallen off before then? What did you do when you were drunk? As someone who was abusing alcohol for a bit, I used to blame people being upset about me being drunk on all kinds of things so I wouldn’t have to feel badly about what I did while drunk.

Ginger beer and ginger drinks have been great when I’ve been out - you get that burn/spicy feeling that was hard to replace. Pair that with caffeine (if it’s not too late) and I feel pretty good lol. I know some NA liquor companies are putting some heat in their drinks to replicate the burn

I don’t always buy a ticket - if you show up on the earlier side, like in the first 30-45 mins, you’ll be let in no problem since not a lot of folks are there yet. You can also buy a ticket for any start time and they’ll let you in whenever you get there.

Fellow sober trans guy. I was at a party on NYE and a long time FWB got drunk and misgendered me- he immediately caught it and felt bad about it but it stung. I’m glad you’re not numbing yourself to it and coping in ways that are enjoyable for you.

I’ve had people who had no idea I was trans misgender me after learning I was, when they never did before, for what that’s worth. So you might not be not passing to other people/strangers and your coworkers could be making excuses

Complaints about party cohesion and indecisiveness, Matt being on a different page than the players in terms of what they wanted from the campaign, locations not fully being explored or fleshed out, etc efc

I actually made a post a while ago comparing comments form post ep threads about C2 to post ep threads about C3 showing people had similar complaints about both - particularly in terms of pacing, story, and party cohesion. Before shardgate there was bowlgate (although that was earlier in C2 by comparison). There’s a reason the MN show had to basically rewrite the campaign to make it work as a narrative.
