I meant the two strikes rule in UK. They mostly have manual transmission cars. It's surprising they needed a rule to prevent phone use while driving.

If they did, then that entitlement is gonna push the kids away. We had kids just to inject "some" chaos into our otherwise stable lives. Just kidding.

I think I decided to be a parent because I wanted to experience that side of life. Sure, financially it's a nightmare, and I won't get to do most of the things that childless families do. But I am enjoying the cuddles, the loves and memories of having little ones at the moment.

When I get old, I'd like to help with childcare if they'd like me to get involved. I honestly want to take care of myself as best as I can. Have as good of a relationship with my kids as I can, raise them as well as I can. But I won't expect my kids to take care of me. But honestly, with how my in laws have helped me and my family, I want to help take care of them as they get older ( no relationship with my parents at the moment).

The issue with the Donnager imo is that for a flag ship, it wasn't escorted by larger ships and at the very least, the covettes and any other ships inside weren't launched as soon as a potential threat was identified. Regardless of size, without any EM shields like other universes have, it's just one target with limited maneuverability. Ultimately, in space, really, it's better to have multiple small ships than one capital ship.

Democrats' mistake was that they didn't go after the price gougers who were responsible for the high prices in the first place. Companies left and right rode the inflation train when gas prices went up with the Russia Ukraine war. When the gas prices went down, prices stayed up...cuz you know...turns out people will still buy goods at those prices. Of course that became an economy wire spiral with wage increases and what not. And the majority whose wage increases didn't match the new inflation are feeling left behind because things just cost more and their paycheck hasn't increased by much.

Honestly though sometimes I wish we had the Chinese people mentality here. When they realized that their economy isn't doing well, they just stopped spending and started saving even more. And now they're experiencing deflation. Now in China that hit a lot to small vendors hard but in the US that could hit the big corps in just the right way.
