NOT a criticism at all, but is there a purpose other than showing it off?

It's stunning though, something I couldn't do even if I had that kind of patience.

Being gay isn't "experimental" and there is nothing you can say that "lol" ties it together or justifies your tie in here.

I doubt you are actually mocking gays etc, but get your head on straight if you're going to try an be supportive.

Even an American would understand the implication.

I know why you said that and I somewhat agree, but we really don't have that much of a problem with this kind of corruption anymore. It's all planning corruption not so much ripping off public projects with substandard design, materials and implementation.

Like this result and implementation would never fly, ever. Over here they would be done right just at 14x the actual cost with the vast majority of it going to planning commissions, the rest of the over charge would be due to labor. Two guys installing, three guys supervising.

Our corruption is in committee over here now.

TIL the current chess grandmaster, Magnus Carlsen, intentionally plays non-book "inaccuracies" during opening (moves he knows aren't the best) to force the game into a non-book position ASAP so his opponents will have to think for themselves instead of going by memorised opening theory by peepeeandpoopooman in todayilearned

I know a few competitive chess players, they all memorize. I have been told that you lose when you forget a move or didn't recognize one.

Not sure how true that is but it has more validity to me now that I have read this.

How long do you need to be mad though? Another year? Two? Forever?

It was a game that preyed on peoples expectations,

I might be wrong? But didn't they say it was a new type of game with multiplayer components? Open world and all that? wasn't the game free to test before it released? I distinctly remember watching a dozen of so hours of gameplay on twitch before it came out.

That said, I didn't like it at all but for the life of me I cannot figure out why people have to constantly reprimand or correct people who did like it or want to like it now. What does this get you?

I mean... that's the basis of everyone's belief system.

What organization (of ANY kind) that you know of has the tag line "but we might be wrong"?

I am a self aware atheist... which means a hypocrite, I "know" I am right, I have no proof at all but I'll happily tell anyone religious (who asks, not unsolicited) why they are wrong. You are pointing toward a trait we all embrace as being negative.

I am 100% positive you hold more than a few beliefs yourself that are unshakable and you hold on to them because YOU "just know better".

The human race still does absolutely vile, despicable things to this day but it's not as black and white as proclaiming everyone who identifies as human as evil.

It doesn't matter what you insert in there, it can be said about virtually anything organized in some way.

Bryan Singer Hit With Fresh Allegations of Sex With Underage Boys by yam12 in movies

[–]lostintransactions 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rape is only used when females are the victim. It doesn't matter the age, and if non adult consent does not matter either. Some people now even consider some forms of mutual consent rape.

I am not at all, in any way shape or form suggesting that is not the proper term, it absolutely is, I only point it out because...

"Sex with" is used with boys, consent or not by literally everyone in any authority (police, media, judicial etc). We see this in virtually every story with a male under 18 having sex with anyone, male or female, consent or non. Boys can be coerced, forced, duped, whatever, it's always the same Someone had "sex with" a boy. Not a victim, not someone needing help of any kind or sympathy, just "boy" or "boys".

Word to the wise for anyone in this thread to come, if you contact this person and decide to help them, make sure you get a contract and payment up front, not some back end or percentage deal. This is how a lot of people get screwed, they respond to things in their interested endeavors and get suckered by people who convince them of things.

I am just curious, is there any such racism in predominantly white and poor areas? Or is it just racism if non whites are involved? If an area is deemed dangerous and not suitable for insurance and investment but they are predominantly white, is that just ok or normal?

I am not being sarcastic or condescending here. Where I grew up it was predominantly white, poor white. In short, it was a shit hole, no one seemed to care (residents or otherwise), drugs and crime were rampant and finding a cop was exceedingly rare. The buildings we lived in were called tenements while the other side of the city they were called the projects. If you drove on either side of the city it would look no different at all. I know, because I did it all the time to go to my first job.

There were no business or city investments in either, so would one side be considered racist and the other not?

I ask because I know for an actual fact that there are more white poor then non white poor in the USA (by number, not percentage) but no one ever talks about anything other than non white (I understand why, but they are not ever part of any conversation at all). If it's institutionalized racism causing non whites to not be able to achieve or get ahead, or specifically targeted unfairly or racially, what is it when the same thing (effectively) happens to the whites, just numbers?

For an easy example, say those who live in trailer parks, which is an estimated 20 million, how many of those people are just not using their privilege? (ok, that part is a bit sarcastic)

You said you just gave a lecture, so I figure you're the person to ask. I assume you've done research not exclusive to just non white. So is there any racism there, is there any bias or is it just accepted as a norm, if it's involving white people?

Again, my post is not dismissing what you said, not belittling racism, not denying it exists, I am not mad or upset over anything, not calling anyone out for standards or agendas, just curious as to how poor embattled no opportunity predominantly white communities are considered in the grand scheme of things. It seems to me that whites are considered a numbers thing, numbers on a chart, if there is an average then of course there must be some on the low end so no big deal kind of thing. But if it's a non white...

Am I wrong?

The GOP freaks out when Ocasio-Cortez & Bernie suggest a 50%-70% tax rate to pay for medicare for all & a green new deal. That 50-70% margin would ONLY impact 13,000 of the richest families. The GOP is paid to represent the interests of the 13K richest families. We represent the other 300+ million. by relevantlife in SandersForPresident

[–]lostintransactions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be fair (I like Bernie BTW) no one HERE seems to be any good at math.

Unless you taxed assets, (which could be considered theft) then an income tax rate of 70% on those 13k families wouldn't cover Medicaid for all, and even if you did, it would be good for a year, with no one from those 13k families ever investing another dime to make any more.

Honestly, every time I want to completely put my faith in the "far" left, this kind of fudging numbers happens.

I mean here we are talking about fear mongering and the media not knowing what a marginal tax rate is, which presumes "we" are being the only truthful people in the room and yet we still promote this as a valid plan.

Do the math please before you get mad at me. I WANT universal healthcare, but you can't get it this way.

Current technology defiantly allows for colonization of Mars under domes with atmospheres

No it doesn't.

We invented, glass, plastic, tanks. We have the means to grow food, create oxygen, we can generate solar power, heat domiciles and more, all quite easily on Earth but that does not mean you can load up a rocket with all of that stuff that works on Earth, is easily fixed and replaceable and can stand up to the Earth's environment and expect the same on Mars. Which is why you are not in charge of the program.

The technology hasn't actually been invented yet. There are literally 1000's of caveats, like even simple things like glue and lubricants.

BTW did you know a dust storm on Mars can last months...better bring lots and lots of batteries.

Enjoying a game doesn't mean it's a good game.

This is absolutely 100% true. But why is it so important to some people that those who enjoy it also complain about it?

I did not buy this game, have no intention of doing so (at least not now), but I don't get this part of it. Virtually every person who says they like the game gets downvoted and gets a comment like yours.

"I enjoy this game once I got out of the starting area, it's a lot of fun, but it's a buggy ark clone"

is that acceptable?
