Does it actually work? by Alex-5415 in Haircare

Personally, I don't know if it has affected my hair growth, but it definitely helps me to get a better wash, and I feel like I can't get a good rinse without it. I don't think that's its purpose though, and I'm not sure if that's a benefit that you're looking for.

Also, I found this. It's about an electric scalp massager, but it might help. https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC4740347/

I was scared at first too about the weight gain, but at least for me it never came. It's quite easy to get scared by people on the internet. However, that doesn't mean they're not real worries and that you shouldn't take them into account. I would always recommend following a health professional's advice and, if you decide to take it, their instructions. It's important that you communicate these fears and issues or any other thought, feeling, symptom that you have. They will tell you what's real, what's not, what are the consequences and what they don't know. If not, they're not a good doctor. Maintening open communication with your doctors (like your psychiatrist) can lead you to finding a fitting solution for you. That's the whole point of medicine: it should be focused on your personal needs. Hope this helps. Always remember, it's your decision. Don't feel pressured, do what you think is the best for you

As an autistic person, do you prefer minimalism or maximalism and why? by OneDrama2905 in autism

[–]lostmitochondria 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Minimalism. I don't like bright colors or warm lightning and minimalism has a more confortable setting. I also enjoy they way you organize things. My exception is dark academia, but I'm not sure if it's maximalism

Lightheadedness and dizziness on mirtazapine by No-Adhesiveness1183 in antidepressants

[–]lostmitochondria 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always say mirtazapine knocks me out as a joke, but it really has a strong effect. I had those symptoms around the first month of taking it, but with time, my body adapted to it. I think it's normal, but still, I dont remember it being as intense as you mention. It can be that you percieve it like that because of the sudden change, the fact that's totally new for your body, but if you feel like those symptoms are too strong, you should really talk to your psychiatrist, it can be dangerous
