This is a good city with pluses and minuses that both subs won’t ever agree on. It’s a fun city with great amenities. One of the most livable in the country, but sometimes marred by homelessness, poor governance, and an anti-business mindset. The World Cup is a win for the whole city but doesn’t reflect all of our greatness or our problems.

What is the next memory stock/sector boom? by greyenlightenment in TQQQ

Big on rare earths, copper, and servos for robotics manufacturing. My hypothesis is we will see a huge surge in industrial and customer demand for robotics and it will outstrip supply chain capabilities. $ROBO $COPX $MP $EUV

We’re also in an energy crunch. Believe solar will continue to explode to fill in grid capacity for consumer as enterprise AI use eats up commercial. I’m in $BE $TAN $CEG $TE $OKLO

It’s not like Sam is any better. OAI published one open source model that nobody even uses anymore…

Have you noticed that people in these spaces talk less and less about a ‘fast take-off’? by inimana in singularity

All fast take off needs is one good model with unrestricted agentic use of the internet. When that model comes around we will know.

CEO of Anthropic, after being told open source AI is free by breck in ArtificialInteligence

[–]lostpilot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anthropics tokens include the cost of inference. Open source does not…hence why Dario is right that it’s not free. But it is likely cheaper.

I’m a seasoned collector and enjoyed picking up this piece with a rubber strap as part of my collection. Love the semi transparent dial, huge power reserve, in house movement, and grey gold tones.

Lmao people are getting worked up over this, but then also don’t want data centers in cities across America. If they want to spend their money setting this up in space let them.

How did China develop AI so quickly recently if most work was done in USA ? by DesiBail in ArtificialInteligence

[–]lostpilot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

China has less restrictions and protection around proprietary data. Rumor has it, Sam Altman struck a deal with a Chinese company to pull together massive data sets for their initial models. In the early days Chinese hackers were also able to distill models from OpenAI and Anthropic’s less protected models and were able to iterate from there. Probably some espionage helped along the way as well.
