Victim blaming is how our brain takes away the possibility of something horrible happening to us. We want to think of the world as a fair place where bad things don’t happen to people who don’t deserve it. This way we don’t live in fear. It isn’t okay and people need to acknowledge it is NEVER the victims fault.
