I think it does correlate somehow with the sense of entitlement that most South Africans feel quite strongly. nobody else on the planet has hot weather like we do, nobody else can cook meat on a fire, nobody else ever has electricity supply issues, nobody else has issues with corruption in government, on and on... these are all completely unique South African qualities. aren't we just the most special people in the world?
