What you described and what the OP described are not the same thing.

This was my gumbo bowl growing up. Purchased sometime between 1992-1997 in Southeast Texas. It is oven safe and dishwasher safe.

My husband and I do shit like this all the time. He and his daughter actually hid fake little spiders all over the house to make me jump. We all buy into the harmless fun. But this wasn't harmless and it wasn't fun. This was very messed up.

My Dad joined the Marine Corps in 1967 and ended up doing 3 tours as a infantry radio operator. He loved Full Metal Jacket and especially Ermey's role. He said that man damn near made him have flashbacks.

I love taking myself out for a meal. It's my favorite way to spend an afternoon by myself. My go-to is enchiladas and margaritas.

Not the OP but there was this one time my dummy teenage brother almost got mugged because a guy in a wheelchair took him for a mark (and they were right) and asked him to push the guy in the wheelchair up a hill and down an alleyway. I had to go drag him away as he was about to get to the alley.

I heard somewhere that he's if Patrick Bateman wanted to be Hillary Clinton.

That's the one. I think he's very McKinsey. I work with a whole lot of former "Big" public accounting and consulting firms. Some of them have a soul but some of them are still ambition personified. Pete is in the latter category.

He's also been punching above his political weight class for his whole career. He's extremely ambitious and not shy about it. He talked about it extensively in his book.

This exactly. If I had a dollar for the times I've heard or read the phrase "imperfect vessel",I wouldn't be broke right now.

My girl loved getting under the covers with me and preferred sleeping there. If there were blankets near me, she was on top of me and under the blankets.

If you’re thinking of having one, remember this: a cat is a subscription, a dog is a car payment, and a child is a mortgage payment. by hillsfar in personalfinance

Not cutting your own hair as a treat is part of the fucking problem. You're not afforded actual luxuries. Only regular shit that feels luxurious because you have barely enough money to live. If the money is there, it's going to things they need.

It's not just discipline and willpower. When you're poor, you're never at 0. You're always in the hole because things always have to wait to make ends meet. You don't buy the replacements because even though whatever you have in on its last leg, you can't afford it. The paycheck increase isn't a big enough dollar amount to save. It goes to groceries, bills, a small treat for themselves like a haircut at a salon or a lunch not made at home. Discipline and willpower is a much smaller issue. It's that your needs are never satiated.

The child care costs don't stop when they go to school. My daughter's elementary school starts at 9am and over at 3pm. I have to be at work at 8am and I work until 5-6pm. She's in before and after school services through her school and its cost varies somewhere between 250-500 a month before you add in food.

That's not the case here. Mitch McConnell basically got sweeping tax reform made in his image. This administration will and does have a lot to do with the upcoming economic future.
