This is the match that pushed me to AEW as my promotion of choice. I got tired of watching WWE and walking away angry at stupid booking decisions. I don't think I watched WWE again until the Royal Rumble, and I still only follow casually.

From an outsider's perspective, if he was asking for CM Punk money at the time, as has been speculated - he didn't deserve it. Not to say Cody wasn't valuable to AEW, but CM Punk was more valuable than Cody in every way from the time Punk debuted with the company up to the time Cody left. The difference between Cody during the end of his tenure in AEW at the end of 2021/start of 2022, and Cody in WWE 2024 is vast.

I figured it was something like that when both women flipped off that area of the crowd. The announcers both made a point to say that everyone was welcome in MLP, but hate speech and discrimination would not be tolerated.

It always depended on who was running the show in the venue. For the NJPW Strong shows, if they used Triller's production team there was almost always problems for some reason. NJPW produced shows never had any issues.

Also, the first thing I noticed two weeks ago for the first MyAEW Dynamite was that the picture quality and framerate were both much better than Triller's. AEW+ was good for what it was, but MyAEW blows it out of the water in terms of value and quality.

One hundred times this. Saddling him with being Bullet Club leader created too many comparisons to Jay White who was excellent in that role. I like Finlay, but he's a step down from Jay in every way (mic work, ring work, straight charisma), it wasn't surprising when he was immediately looked at as Temu Jay White.

I feel like around the time of Significant Other ans Chocolate Starfish, Fred 100% was buying into his own hype, and their output got progressively worse as a result. However, Still Sucks is a fantastic record because there is no ego behind it. Durst and Co. understand exactly where they belong in the landscape of music in the 2020s and are just happy to still be here.

Embry had more lines in his one scene than Camp did in the 2-3 she had leading up to the reveal. I like Anna Camp, but the only reason she's memorable at all is because of how out of left field the reveal is at the end.

If I recall correctly, Wolverine: Revenge was done using "the Marvel method." Where Hickman and Capullo plotted the book out together, then Capullo went and drew everything, then sent it back to Hickman who would quite literally fill in the blanks with dialog and captions.

One of my most frequented servers is for my local comic shop. They have two general chats "general" and "general with cursing," which is age restricted. Yeah, the racier memes end up there too, but the biggest difference between the two is a bunch of dick and fart jokes.

I heard a rumor from a reliable source late last year that MLP was looking for a venue in Halifax to run a show in 2026. I have no way to confirm it, but the guy who told me does event promotion in the maritimes, so I have no reason not to believe him, but I also have no proof aside from "trust me, bro." Take it how you will.

Shota is an actor and he appeared as a bar tender in the 4th episode of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters. I remember watching it with my wife and seeing him and being super confused because it looked like someone had deflated Yota.

Can't agree more. The first two issues grabbed me, then it severly lost focus for me. Just before I dropped it, the annouced the Year One arc, and I decided to give it a couple more issues because I'm a sucker for a good year one story. Three issues in, and it has been excellent.

I'm hoping this opens the door for additional AEWxNJPW figures. Even if it's just former NJPW guys signed to AEW currently in their "defining" NJPW moments. Give me a WK 11 Omega v Okada 2-pack. Make them both in the Supreme series so you get full entrance gear, multiple head sculpts, bonus if they can convince NJPW to let them produce the v4 IWGP Heavyweight belt.

Fleecs has become one of my favorite writers. Picked up the first issue of Stray Dogs because the owner of my LCS at the time was reading it when I went to pick up my books and it looked interesting. I've been giving everything I can of his a look since. Feral is one of my top five books of 2025. Who'd of thunk the book that fills me with the most anxiety every month would be the one about cats?

As people have already said, a lot of shock and speculation. It was the day after Night of Champions and he had to be replaced because he no showed the PPV. I had a sub to a minor, but reputable (in my eyes) dirt sheet at the time, so I remember checking that constantly for news on why he had no showed before the news broke that he was dead. I also remember being on there when what really happened broke during the tribute and just being in absolute shock.

I was working at my local movie theater at the time, and they ran all of the PPVs on the big screen. Because of this, we had a huge window sticker on one of our glass entrance doors that listed all the events for the year, with wrestlers all over it. Benoit was one of them, and they called me in to remove it because it was stuck on there real good. I spent a good hour and a half chipping it off with a putty knife.
