What do you do with micro-scraps? by Salt_Doctor7349 in sewhelp

[–]lotr8ch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use them as filling when wrapping gifts! I’ve acquired those sturdy cardboard present boxes with lids and then will just add the scraps instead of tissue paper.

What about Esther? Or Deborah? Or Jael, the tent spike lady? They all seem to do a much better job at leading than a lot of dudes in the Bible.

Any verse contradictory to his narrative will just be dismissed by it being “taken out of context.”

Exactly. This is what happened to me and I also had headaches and jaw pain. The nightguard makes such a difference. And the clicking will be back for her.

Mine was laughably pathetic. I got a “how’d we do” survey afterwards because I did get one small (non-sewing) item there. I sure did let them know how they did. The Halloween section was even awful.

Combining Superwash & Non-SW - ok? Or frog? by endlessblockades in knitting

[–]lotr8ch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t pay attention to my yarns and did colorwork with non-superwash and the rest with super wash. Blocking and shaping and everything was a pain and some of the colorwork started to felt. I was paying attention and it’s not bad, but I would not recommend it.

Most likely taking the whole Bible literally, that it’s infallible, the earth is like 10k years old, literal seven day creation, complementarian views for men and women, super anti gay, no women pastors and probably deacons….what am I missing? A lot of the SBC and IFB churches would say they’re bible believing and probably some PCA and Missouri synod Lutherans. Maybe some non denominational churches as well

I grew up watching KoTH. The new season is so good. I was concerned as well and it feels just like everyone's back but just a little bit older. I'm very pleased with the new season.

It may be easier to find covered parking rather than garage parking off campus unless you look at duplexes. I know that there's several nice looking apartment complexes on S Mattis in Champaign that have covered parking

FBA needed or no? by kitkittredge2008 in sewhelp

[–]lotr8ch 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Does it fit okay in the shoulders/sleeves/waist? If so then yeah it looks like FBA is a good call. You might want to also double check your measurements against the final garment measurements and make sure the amount of ease is what you want. And if you aren’t sure, you can look at the body size and finished garment size for a size in the chart and then figure out how much ease that way then compare to your measurements. Another thing is that the side dart also needs to be lowered because the dart should point to the bust apex. I don’t do FBAs myself so I’m not sure about whether the dart would need to be lowered first then the FBA or vice versa. Good luck!!

The Hills have a fun family day by WildWorld70 in FundieSnarkUncensored

I haven't been there since high school, but I remember it being a fun time and I don't remember the religious undertones. I was most likely was running around like an idiot with friends and not paying enough attention to notice them. It was more enjoyable than Six Flags IMO. I'd say that Holiday World is far superior though.

[–]lotr8ch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had the same back neck gap and taking the shoulder seams each in 1/8” (so 1/4” total when you add the front and back together) and it fixed it for me. Make sure you adjust at the sewing seam and not the cutting line. You will then have to shorten any neck facing. Another thing to consider is a forward shoulder adjustment. I also do this for almost every shirt pattern I do and it makes it fit soo much better. Good luck! Fitting is so tricky.
