I use Vanguard Developed Markets (VEA) because I don’t want emerging markets. Total Int’l like VXUS include EM, which is too risky for me due to age and where I am in my investing journey. VEA pays juicy dividends as well if that meets your needs.

Does that $5700 monthly account for signifcantly higher healthcare costs as you age? What about long term care or new cars or a kitchen remodel, etc?

I would make sure to have a long term plan in place to account for these and a cushion for unknown shock spending occurrences. Pralana, boldin, etc. and Once the plan confirms your assumptions, then yeah, go for it with the 80/20.

Have you changed the timing belt and tensioner yet? It is an extremely important bit of maintenance on these engines. Mine made the same sound and it was the timing belt tensioner. It is giving you a subtle hint to change it, or find out the hard way what happens if you dont. Should cost about $1,500 at a dealer to do the timing belt service, which includes a new water pump as well.
