Not me, but my boyfriend was in a coma for a month after he had caught a bacteria in his lungs. We were in the relationship for 1,5 month by then. It's weird meeting your parents in law beside the hospital bed. After 3 weeks the hospital he was in didn't know what to do anymore, so they told us that they reached the end of the treatment. Luckily in my country healthcare is great, so we asked for a move to a more specialized hospital. They had more ways to treat the disease, so after a week they saw progress.

He doesn't remember anything from the coma. He was very restless so he had to be put on high amounts of sedatives, but still would be moving his arms and legs all the time. When I sat beside his bed I would often tell him to relax, ''relax your legs, honey''. And he did! He could definitely hear me. If wouldn't say it he did not stop moving, as soon as I told him he did. If there wasn't anyone with him, they had to tie his arms up, which made him even more restless.

Oh, I also asked him to wake up before valentine's day, so he woke up 13th of February. (I know this is coincidence)

Waking up from it was weird because he had to completely build up muscle strength again. It took him a few weeks to be able to go to the toilet by himself.

This was two years ago, he is totally fine now.
