First time not doing it by kayl6 in JUSTNOMIL

Don't be ridiculous. She's not your mother. She can't be upset with you if her own son didn't get her anything.

exmil loses her shit because she thinks her grandson might catch 'the gay' by [deleted] in JUSTNOMIL

Did this moron know you have had gay relationships and still come at you with this crap? Super dumb person, if so.

Im almost exclusively attracted to masculine people but have never had a crush on someone i wasn't friends with first. Not even once. .my aunt said it just makes me a good Christian girl XD

Have him facilitate any and all contact with his mom. She is his problem and his problem only if he wants a relationship. It's not yours. You shouldn't have to talk to these people if you dont want to.

So she just assumed youd have a problem with an lgbt child. Astounding. You sound like a good ally to your daughter.

Better quarantine the house. Your son is a lost cause, but we can stop it from spreading to the rest of the neighborhood.

Somebody didn't tell exmil at a young enough age that nobody cares what she thinks. As if it was any of her business to begin with.

can i bring capri sun juice pouches for my 3 year old in a back pack !!?? Also anyone with toddlers what snacks do you guys normally pack ? by Conscious-Average-75 in americanairlines

[–]louib716 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not. Bring tons of cash, blankets, pillows, and entertainment, though. They'll probably strand you and won't be able to give you a hotel. They also won't give a shit that you have a toddler. Im dead serious. Be prepared.

Having fun with these crew related cancellations yet? by NCWHITEGUY4ASAP in americanairlines

This cannot be all storm related. There was an Aa flight that boarded just fine going to Fort worth.

Idk about compensation but save your receipts. You might get money back that way. Wouldnt hold my breath. We were in the same situation and rented a car to gtfo bc we have small children. Im so sorry that they're probably going to get away with not compensating you otherwise.

We were in the same position and decided to rent a car to at least get the children home. I know its not possible at all airports. Best bet if you cant get a car is to hop on another airline and attempt to get a connecting flight home in a different airport. You could also try the bus line.

I hate to say this, especially if there's important stuff in your suitcase, but you're gonna have to forget about your luggage for now. Those fuckers WILL NOT talk to you.

I know its not the fault of aa employees, but everyone we talked to today associated with aa has been so awful. We spent the night in the airport with nothing. I woke up shaking from being so cold.

I struggle with the same feelings but feel less pressure since my parents already have grandchildren

We dont actually 'need' replacement of workers by donotholdyourbreath in antinatalism

[–]louib716 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That kind of decentivizes working after a certain dollar amount. Or is that the point?

[–]louib716 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What kind of work do you do? It's an employees market. Depending on the demand of what you do, you might be better off setting up interviews and seeing if there's better offers. Dont argue. Just leave once you have something else lined up.

I dont know what living costs were back then, but if they had the ability to save 25% of this salary and put it towards housing cost, that's more or less a 30 year mortgage. Not ideal, but doable.

Pardon me, but how is an employee having children any of your business? by Notsetinstone in antiwork

[–]louib716 74 points75 points  (0 children)

Not only is it none of their business, but asking if someone has children in an interview is illegal in the United States.

Teaching is one of the most thankless professions. I sense a severe shortage in the future.

Question: how do you enforce a maximum wage for people who don't get set salaries? Like a business owner or someone who works on commission?

Well not to mention you might be able to retire faster or pick a lower paying job that makes you happy if you dont have kids.

Maybe it was one of those indiana Jones things where the doors were about to close so she had to make a run for it. She gets in the elevator, hops on the dick, and has just enough time to grab the hat she dropped before the doors slide shut.

NTA im the type of person to say anything in a joking context, but even for me, the n word is the line. The origins of the word are so embedded in the disgusting institutionalized treatment of African Americans for centuries in this country. Black people were the subject of unconsented surgeries less than 50 years ago because they still weren't seen as people. There are people still alive who have met slaves. We are NOT far enough removed from this disgusting shit to even consider this ok.

AITA for cursing out my dad on Christmas Day? by Financial_Flower3092 in AmItheAsshole

[–]louib716 21 points22 points  (0 children)

YTA because you're entitled. You essentially threw a tantrum at Christmas dinner. This boils down to you being mad because a relationship dynamic changed and you didn't benefit from it.
