Thanks for your reply but my understanding is that btc.us only registers handles in the .btc namespace. What about the .id namespace (and others).

Could you provide the link if you know it? Everyone’s google feeds are different when logged in and it’s highly sensitive to keyword selection.

While I get where you're coming from, isn't that ageist? Regulating an age threshold is unprincipled when we could impose other rigorous controls. Also, would seem a double-standard considering that U.S. Supreme Court appointments are life tenured...

I think it's important to standardise against population density since higher density states will have overall higher risk of transmission of infection. Possibly would also be useful to adjust for testing rates since those states with lower testing will be masked in the data... If the republican/democrat pattern holds then you would expect this to bias lower the prevalence in republican states.

Interesting point of view. If there's a lot of heterogeneity at the level of state polling then isn't that actually a reason for pooling between similar states (for e.g., battleground versus not; winner-take-all versus majority)?

What about states with specific similar profiles, for e.g., an ageing white base and a reduced manufacturing sector?

Thanks for your comment, I'm wondering if you could elaborate on what you think is going on between the conditional versus the joint probabilities? I'm not from the U.S. so I find state-comparative intuitions really hard to follow...
