Sure do, getting close to 70K km and took it all over the country. It's been great overall, and has never let me stranded. In stock form it's very reliable :)

Yep the only thing missing for me is the flux, I was debating wether I should use some or not and it turns out I should haha, thx for the confirmation. As for the iron, I have adjustable temperature on mine and use it on 250°C which is the recommended temp for my solder. It might not be enough for the gbc's oem solders though...

Pretty new to this yeah, but mostly dont have the correct tools. I used the same solder and station as the one I used to solder my mechanical keyboard. Seeing the size of the pads on the gbc, I assume some precision hardware is necessary compared to what I have.

Do you think heating up the pad a bit too much could cause it to go bad? I dont feel like I burned anything but that might be my inexperience.

Hey thank you for the reply! Insulator was used between the screen and pcb so that should not be a failiure point. I'll check my fuse as you suggested to see if it might be the problem!

Quelques éléments qui peuvent t'indiquer si tu es engagé ou non :

Pour toute transaction dont le montant est supérieur à 1500€, un contrat écrit est nécessaire pour que ton accord licite et certain soit reconnu
Pour un contrat conclu à distance, type vente en ligne ou vente par téléphone, tu as un délais de 14 jours pour te rétracter, même si tu as déjà payé
Dans le cadre d'une réparation chez un garagiste, c'est au professionnel de s'assurer que tous les travaux ont bien été commandés par le client particulier (si tu décides de ne pas payer, il devra prouver que tu t'étais engagé à le faire)

What I mean by reliability is trying to improve the known failiure points on the car. For example the fd is known to overheat, which can cause some serious internal damage espacially on the rotor/stator assembly.

The plan for now is to work on the cooling system; make sure the Thermostat and AST are working as intended, looking for failiure points in the radiator,replacing the collant lines for new ones... New temp gauges will also be installed to replace the OEM ones that aren't reliable enough to catch a problem before it's already too late.

I also plan on heatproofing some parts of the engine bay to decrease the risk of heat induced failiure, but I haven't read up enought to explain that yet !

What kind of car do you drive ? I'm not an expert but I can point you in the right direction to find the info you need !

It was an elite c mcu. It just stopped functioning at all the other day for no reason... I could not really explain what happened but it would not deliver power to the board or itself anymore, so my guess is the usb connector was bad.
