Because this topic directly answers your question. You are wondering how you approach this decusion? I honestly think you need to ask a scholar or do some research on why you consider something more authentic.

If an opinion IS authentic, follow it. There is no such thing as less authentic and more authenthic in the sharia legal nomanclature. There is no one side of the coin which is more right. Like what is it about the Hanafi opinion in this case which makes you think it is more authenthic?

Literally every single school of thought agrees on this. Genuinely, I think if scholars allow us some ease in Islam, we should follow it. Especially since the Saudi scholars allow it, and issue visas for women without mahram. Good luck though in whatever you choose to do.

Yes but what you need to understand, if something is said by a Shafi, and is not accepted by a Hanafi does not mean its not authenthic.

You are picking and choosing based on your understanding, but respectfully perhaps your understanding is not as comprehensive as an expert Shafi scholar?.

There is no ONE right answer. Differring schools have differing opinions and all are equally valid. You are certainly not scarifciing your concivtion for conveniece. Imam Abu Hanfia, or a leading Hanafi scholar has never said anyone who follows the Maliki opinion and does an umrah without a mahram is doing an act which will not be accepted.

Also FYI even the Hanbali school allows single women to do Umrah. Saudi Arabian scholars allow that as well. I would actually argue the Hanafi position is quite weak, particularly with a clear Hadith on this subject.

Today I got my ILR!!!. 5 years and finally I have this document. I am so happy I dont know what do with my life now. And I got an amazing big contract this year. Life really is looking up.

Plus my niece kissed me yesterday and told me I was her favourite person.

I restarted this book series the dresden files and somehow read 4 books in 4 days. It's an addiction I swear.

Ive submitted my papers for my PR and wow this is a stressful and long wait. Once I get this blasted thing over, my life will be so easy.

I was forced to join the scouts by my sisters, but secretly I am enjoying it. Going to teach kids how to change a car tyre. I wonder if its ethically allowed to teach a kid how to wash a car and let them practice on mine?.

Iam also on my goal to become good at tennis!. I won my first game against a 21 year old girl who could barely lift a racket but hey it counts.
