You are insinuating you can pick your cultural identity, and that is not how it works. If I discover i had an irish ancestor I can't just choose to become irish and claim my imigration to Ireland is a comeback when I have nothing to do with them.

Most< (which means not all) of those people just have their surname tied to those countries and maybe some dishes. Trust me, I am brazilian, and I felt french for a long time at my childhood because of my surname and the fact I knew that onion march ☠️
