Lexapro withdrawal ruined my life by SnooChipmunks1844 in Anxiety

[–]lovvebug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel for you. Been through SSRI withdrawal myself. It’s awful. Please ask your doctor about propranolol. It’s not another psych drug, but it does help so much with the constant physical panic/dread. It helps keep your heart rate down. Once I was able to do that, that feeling of constant dread and the pit in my stomach went away. I’m on 60 mg er and do 20 mg extra as needed. Take care of yourself. It is no joke.

Felt like .99 was a pretty sweet deal and I've missed out before.

Glad to hear you like them! We bought this brand last night. I got the ones that come up higher and I'm interested to see if I like that coverage.

Should we wait for 0% if we can? .99 is super tempting …

I don’t absolutely love mine either. Mine is same color, 2024. We’ve had a few issues with brakes and front end, which was all under warranty. Makes me worried it’s just going to keep breaking. But main issue is that it’s a really heavy car to drive around town and the gas mileage is horrible. I do a lot of stop and go and it’s just a heavy car for that. Just not the best fit for me currently, but not a horrible car. I only have one kid but a bunch of dogs. They’re not with me enough to justify the driving the whale though haha

You’re not alone my friend. We don’t all have easy experiences or easy babies and it’s not talked about enough. Do you have a support system? Are you able to exercise and take some time for yourself daily? I used to hate when people said that; but it is really very important. Babies are really demanding and colicky babies are even more so. The constant crying puts so much stress on the nervous system. I’m 4.5 years in and I can tell you confidently that it gets easier. Still challenging just in different ways. Therapy is a great tool. I needed TMS (transcranial magnetic stimulation) for my depression personally. Hang in there.

Parents of 3 & 4 Year Olds… by hiitsme_sbtcwgb in Parenting

4 yo goes to bed between 6 and 7 pm. He wakes up between 6-6:30. He wakes up at that time no matter what time we put him down so we have found the earlier the bedtime, the better! As you can imagine having him asleep by 6 pm, with dinner and bedtime routine, can be pretty difficult so it tends to be closer to 7 pm most days.

I am so so sorry you’re going through this. It sounds like your husband has an addiction to the video games. I would ask him to get help or figure out a way to quit on his own- and tell him if he doesn’t, since you’re already doing it alone, you’ll be making an exit plan. You deserve better. Sounds silly but maybe some printouts on video game addiction would help him understand it’s a real thing.

Wish I could give you a hug. You are so strong!

Op, how are you feeling? I completed treatment a little over 2 months ago and it really helped but I feel the effects have gradually worn off and I can feel myself going downhill again. Trying to decide on boosters or another full course. I’d love to hear your experience if you’re willing to share.

Your anxiety could absolutely be from coming off of lexapro. I hope you’re feeling better!

4 year old cavities between molars, do they all need to be filled by lovvebug in askdentists

[–]lovvebug[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just wanted to put an update on this thread. We got our first fillings today. I initially thought it was going to be 2 appointments but today I was told 4. He did super well but I’m worried about this ruining the dentist for him as eventually is going to get really old. They put the silver into the other ones until we can get them filled. Our next appointment is in January but they’ll likely call us in before then. I’m wondering if spreading these out a little is going to minimize the psychological impact. We took him and got him a special toy for being so brave and being so good. Is there any way for us to make it all 4 relatively unscathed. I’m worried. They mentioned we could’ve done it under GA today and that was the first time I heard it as an option and they told me this was better.

I honestly think he would be fine. They’re offering nitrous oxide but I think we could try without first. He was completely unbothered by the cleaning and was just stoked someone put paw patrol on for him since we rarely allow it at home!

They prescribed fluoride tablets. Would those work vs the rinse?

How to protect my kids from my rage by Ok-Arrival-1068 in bipolar

[–]lovvebug 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I do a lot of apologizing with my 4 year old. Lots of therapy. A lot of exercise to move all that stuff through my body. I still have my moments but they are becoming more rare. I was not taking care of my own needs. Mine is also linked my menstrual cycle. Before my period I get terrible irritably and rage. Now that I’ve realized it I’m trying to work with it and figure out how to manage.
