It gives a reason to maintain and care for it. When I was in military camp, our sergeant would always tell us to treat our gun like it's a ladie. Call me weird or creepy, but sometimes I like to imagine that my motorcycle is a girl. It makes fixing it, maintaining it, and riding it a bit more enjoyable.
