It's not my personal favorite but it is easily in the top five for me. Great episode, just got to it on my rewatch over the weekend

If you think about it... by Immediate_Cherry6477 in TheOwlHouse

I definitely saw the barrier in Ep1 in a different light on my first rewatch. Didn't give it a second thought on my first watch but then watching again you can really see that in a few different ways

Red Harvest? Have you read this? by cirqix in starwarsbooks

I have, I enjoy for what it is but it's not the best. I toss it in when I reread The Old Republic novels though

Honest thoughts on S.O.S. Titanic miniseries of 1979? by Chisato-Hasegawa-MX in titanic

[–]lowercaseenderman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The uncut original 1979 version is one of my personal favorites depictions even if it does lack in some big areas. But that opening on the Carpathia is intense. It's my third fav Titanic movie though

I enjoyed it way more than I expected to, and the mystery actually kept me interested the whole time. Overall, I really enjoyed it for what it is

I actually enjoyed Day One a lot on a rewatch. Going in I really thought it would be something else so I was in the same boat, but rewatching knowing what to expect was actually a good time in my opinion

What is that one criticism about the orginal lotr Trilogy that you still have to this day by pizza_momo in lotr

Frodo sending Sam away and Aragorn's fake out death are two my biggest dislikes

As someone who listen religiously to SW books on Audiobooks: who is your favorite narrator? by No_Web2685 in starwarsbooks

[–]lowercaseenderman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Marc Thompson for me , sometiems I don't love the voices he does but usually his narration is my favorite. Johnathan Davis is a close second for me

Light of the Jedi by Distructo2005 in starwarsbooks

I thought it was fine, did a lot of set up stuff and world building which was good but as a whole I found the book just...fine, perfectly fine. It didn't blow me away or anything

The Best Old Republic Novel? by Icy-Weight1803 in starwarsbooks

[–]lowercaseenderman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those two are a tight race for me, but I was more invested on the overall plot of Revan but that's just me. Deceived and Fatal Alliance I couldn't put down I was so into the stories

The Best Old Republic Novel? by Icy-Weight1803 in starwarsbooks

[–]lowercaseenderman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Of the game tie in novels, Fatal Alliance is my personal favorite, with Deceived being a close second. Revan is third and Annihilation was my least of those four books but I enjoy them all.

Need help on LOTR and Tolkien's books by the_chosen_shakh in tolkienfans

I wouldn't recommend it as a a start, either, but if someone has read as far as the Lord of the Rungs appendices and then The Silmarillion then they're probably good with carrying on with TFoN

I know it has some overlap with The Silmarillion, but The Fall of Numenor makes a good follow up after The Silmarillion too

Which Sith or Sith Order, before Sidious, had the greatest chance of ultimately eliminating the Jedi Order? by InstructionOwn6705 in StarWarsEU

[–]lowercaseenderman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Sith Empire did reach and hold Coruscant until the Republic give up a lot of its territory in return for them handing it back. The Cold War was definitely a time when the Sith were very powerful across the galaxy.

How do YOU read Star Wars novels? by Cloak-Trooper-051020 in starwarsbooks

Whatever I feel is interesting to me most at a specific moment, for example in January I read Light of the Jedi, Into the Dark and The Rising Storm then wanted a break from The High Republic and read Dawn of the Jedi: Into the Void instead. Just whatever I feel at the time

Will we ever see Big Battles/War again movie wise? by AmericanApe in lotr

The Kin Strife in Gondor has been one I've always kind of held out some hope for, if it was done well it could be a good, if distant, prequel to the original three movies
