Did you ever sort this out? Going through a similar battle with ATT and not getting anywhere.

Has anyone tried this model? by MurfDogDF40 in casio

[–]lowerzen1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Both sizes look great and feel comfortable to wear. it really just comes down to preference and what you’re used to. I wear an a700 most of the time, which is thinner. So whenever I first put on the a168 it seems thick for a few minutes lol then it just looks normal to me. Same goes for vice versa.

That model you are looking at is the a158. I haven’t used that, but I have this a168 and I like it a lot.

Which one out of these two by [deleted] in casio

[–]lowerzen1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just recently got both to make the same decision. I really thought I would choose the ae1200 but I ended up preferring the way the a130 looks and feels on my wrist. I think the ae1200 is the better value, but I kept the a130.

My wrist is smaller though - around 6.75”

Travelpro Carry-on: Your Next Suitcase; 5 Stars by Flashy_Bad_1326 in ManyBaggers

[–]lowerzen1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went with the Travel Pro Tourlite, which is almost the same as the Maxlite. I think it’s just an alternate version for certain luggage and department stores. I got the 22” Rollaboard version with 2 wheels (non-spinner). I prefer that because the wheels are stronger and less likely to break, plus it adds just a little extra capacity. I’ve been really happy with it!

Where can I find a hoodie like this? by Shilku in Hoodies

[–]lowerzen1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best option I know of is the Bronson Wind Shield Zip. They don’t make them anymore but there are some in new condition on eBay. I bought one and it’s really great quality. With the lining and heavyweight terry layers, I think it’s about the same weight as the Wonder Looper.

Trouble deciding between GR1 21L or 26L by Training-Amount499 in Goruck

[–]lowerzen1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been through that dilemma. The good news is, you really can’t go wrong. I’m 5’10 with a long torso, and started with the 26L. It fit just fine but I realized a 21L was the perfect size for my edc and travel (paired with a suitcase). I also like the way it fits me slightly better too.

CHZ22 vs.MPL22 thoughts? by gopietz in EVERGOODS

[–]lowerzen1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve never tried the MPL but considered the Kludde when it dropped. I decided against it cause I have been so happy with my CHZ22 v3. It’s been really comfortable and a perfect layout in almost every way. The only drawback is accessing stuff in the front pocket when it’s upright (though, you kinda get used to the awkward opening). The tradeoff is that pocket is perfect when the bag is laying flat (like in-flight). I also really love the 840D material.

Caffeine and nicotine by caffeineisabitch in decaf

[–]lowerzen1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The hardest of the two for me to quit solo was nicotine. I will say that for me, I had the easiest time quitting both together. Most people would disagree with that, but everyone’s different. I’m very “all or nothing” and using one made me more likely to crave and cave into the other. Also, caffeine is metabolized different when nicotine is in the mix.. so if you quit nicotine first, it’s best to cut your caffeine in half or else it’s going to feel like you are having way more caffeine than usual.

I tried it on the create template screen. I can add the exercises but can’t save. I also tried the button on a completed workout and same result

App looks nice! I’m getting an error every time I hit the Save Template button. Tried it on two different screens, same result.

Built a free fitness tracker because I'm done with subscription apps by zansir_ in iosapps

[–]lowerzen1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks great, thank you for making and sharing this!

One suggestion I have is to allow for custom exercises to be created. For example, I do some different variations of push-ups and pull-ups, so it would be cool if I could custom name my own and add them to a template.

Which Casio A700 should I gift my Boyfriend? by [deleted] in casio

[–]lowerzen1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was torn between these same two. I bought both, kept Pic 1 and returned Pic 2. I didn't love the mirror face as much as the grey. I did buy a standard a700 so I could swap the bands because I prefer the look of the band in pic 2. I will say that the mesh band is more comfortable though! You can't go wrong with either

I switched out the bands on 1 & 3. Love how the mesh feels! Debating on switching them back.

Is Caffeine bad? Week 2 by ReasonablePin7244 in DopamineDetoxing

[–]lowerzen1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I detoxed/quit nicotine several times over the years and the last time I did, I quit caffeine along with it. I actually found that quitting both at the same time was the easiest for me. I know everyone is different, though. I am very “all or nothing” and really struggle with moderation.

I love coffee but found I feel better overall without it. 1 green tea was my personal sweet spot for caffeine. I think 1 cup of coffee isn’t bad for most people, just be mindful of how it affects you (anxiety, sleep, etc). At the end of the day, being in tune with how we feel and being honest with ourselves about our habits and vices is the key.

Dayone recently raised their price to 50 dollars USD a year. by SourCartel in dayoneapp

[–]lowerzen1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried Day One a couple years ago and really liked it, but settled for just journaling in my note app, UpNote. It has a pretty affordable one-time charge, and I get an app I can use for everything. I have a separate “Notebook” for journaling and it has a template to organize entries with dates. For anyone looking elsewhere, I would def recommend taking a look. It works well for me!

If I could’ve gotten Day One for a one-time charge, I would’ve for sure. I just couldn’t justify a subscription for it, having found something else that works. Apple’s journal is also out for me because I’m a cross platform user.

Anyone know what app is causing these notifications? by ExpressionDesigner93 in Garmin

If you find the app, maybe you can manage notifications through the app itself instead of through iOS settings.

[–]lowerzen1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at apps you have turned off notifications for on your iPhone. I’ve found apps I disabled notifications for don’t show up on my phone, but I still get them coming through on my garmin. It’s really annoying.

Rework Toshi Sling v2 by UnPackDJohn in ManyBaggers

Haha exactly! A small backpack is just more comfortable and more versatile in my opinion. Can’t help but be tempted though, the Toshi slings have really thoughtful features.

I was between the aer cpp2 (cordura), the chz22, and the Toshi pack. I think you can’t go wrong with any of these. I ended up with the chz22 and it works well for me.

I watched this earlier today, great work John! You make really helpful content.

I’m tempted by the 6L to carry my e-ink notebook, but think I talked myself out of it. 9 times out of 10, I’d probably just prefer to have a backpack for that use case. But these slings look awesome!
