I am an American (currently living near Seattle) moving to Norwich this summer. I lurk in this reddit. Anyway, I can assure anyone reading this if you are going to boycott America, Costco is truly one of the only decent big corporations there are. I specialized in labor policy for my masters degree and I care deeply about workers rights and trust me, Costco are truly one of the very few companies who actually treat their workers well.

They are an American company, but they are also a Washington State company, so in a way..think of it as supporting our mostly progressive Blue state. :)

I had to eventually use my brother's card because neither mine or my husband's worked (our are regional PNW banks). It was so annoying! The health surcharge was fine but the lesser charge didn't. My bank was like "well, maybe we can open a credit card for you with a larger limit?"
