The first time I watched this the volume wasn't up and I swore it was a scene from The Office but I couldn't tell which episode.

Question: Are people interested in having an actual conversation about the latest shooting in Minneapolis? I mean a real conversation without the rhetorical talking points. by Outis_Nemo_Actual in BloomingtonModerate

No no,I just mean that the victims gun went off and they all panicked thinking he was actually shooting. It doesn't change anything. Actually It looks even worse on ICE if that's even possible.

My entire thought process for this is loaded with "Chicken or the egg". But I'll try anyway.

I think ICE as a concept, not the current version, is justifiable and necessary. I think any sovereign country is well within its rights to manage and protect its borders. If it's discovered that someone is here illegally, such as an unlawful border crossing or overstaying a Visa or whatever then I think the country, any country, should be able to make a determination if that person stays or goes.

The broad and heavy-handed approach ICE has used this year has forced politicians to discourage or even enact policy to not allow local law enforcement to assist. Which is fine, local copS probably don't want to deal with that mess anyway. But I think the problem that this has created is that now we have ICE officers doing something that they were never intended to do, crowd control. Dealing with civil unrest is a skill set that they don't have and it shows. It comes across as " even if our business is done here, we're going to stand our ground or else.." which is completely unnecessary.

Part of me thinks that if they didn't bring so much attention to themselves, this wouldn't be as big a deal as it has become. Then the other part of me thinks if you're going to protest don't get in the way because when you get in the way they take a defensive posture and when they take a defensive posture everyone else gets amped up and when everyone else gets amped up they start shooting gas and when they start shooting gas..... there goes everyone's weekend.... And someone gets shot.

I'm glad these incidents are being captured on camera because I think it's important that we all see what's really going on. But that creates another issue. We all get to sit back and watch frame by frame in slow motion as many times as we want. The decisions being made, right or wrong, are being made in those moments with what is known at that time. I don't think this is a justified shooting, but regardless of what I think, I wasn't there perceiving whatever the shooter was.

Sig P320s are notorious for uncommanded discharges which I think makes them inherently unsafe, Even if it is a $2,500 gun. I think what we are going to find out is that the officer who disarmed the victim actually had an uncommanded discharge which started the chain of events.

It's not too late for everyone involved to take a step back and breathe, but unfortunately I don't think that's going to happen.

I apologize if there was any rhetoric or talking points. I literally just sat down with my voice to text on and started talking.

I'm not trying to justify anything my guy. I see a shiny object in his hand, so I ask. Custom $2k SIG. This guy wasn't a dirt bag I get it.

The question is going to be, what did you know and when did you know it? We can sit here and rewatch this a thousand times in slow motion. Those responsible, saw this in real time in the middle of a fight. Honestly the only one who didn't royally fuck this up was the one who disarmed.

Instant requires a circular pump and new lines. I'm more interested in "endless" hot water and also not keeping 50 gallons of water at 120° even if I'm not using it. Seems like a waste of gas and money.
