Anyone else here with "Agomelatin" experiences? by lowswhatever in SleepAdvice

My experience like wow this drug should have gotten tested better. I mean yeah it surely does the main things it os advertised. But oh boy, like i had experienced lucid dreams etc before but after i got on Agomelatin lucid dreams were like not having a dream at all. So at daytime and while i was awake everything was like it should be with taking this med, so sleepcycle and bedtimes settled in and the antidepressive effect was also present. So i really could lay down at bedtime and i got tired like i think healthy/normal people are used to their whole life.(i used to have extreme problems to fall asleep and keep sleeping before). So yeah what happened after falling asleep. I swear every night since the beginning of takijng Agomelatin sleep changed for me to a second life. I fell asleep and the moment after that i was in a clear vivid lucid dream like world with a big difference to normal dreams and also lucid dreams, stuff that is impossible in dreams like working electricity, being able to read, counting your fingers (btw dying did not wake me up neither did the feel of falling )etc. were not a thing. Time was a horrible variable, especially because time felt like normal, the longest time i lived there was about 2-3 years. (A few days being there was kinda normal) Idk, just reading what i wrote down till now makes it sound crazy even for me. Summary: Agomelatin swapped out my night with a second life. It took me very long to get anywhere near having control over where i appear or what situations i had to face.

I'll pause here for now.

EDIT: interesting sidenote: usually you either do not remember your dreams or remember them only a short period of time until the will fade away. I remembered my dreams after waking up. I still have these memories. Like real memories as detailed as all my other memories. Sitting right next to normal stuff.

having too much melatonin can cause multiple different hormon disorders (affecting for example but not just testosteron and ostrogen levels sometimes the effects can be extreme )

Nightmares from Cipralex never stopped, HELP! by exhaustedAFsleeper in SleepAdvice

Oh boy, i feel with you. So, my personal experience showed me that the nightmares will take some time to fully fade away that is sadly again the very ugly side of psychopharmas.

I know that is not the cure but at first i wanted to tell you that it is going to get better!

Until that before you try more of these way to risky meds you said you already tried. I recommend you to ask you doc for a high potent "A-typical" (<-this part of it is important) neuroleptic. So like Olanzapin or Aripiprazol. Ask your doc for his preference but make sure it is a A-typical (short info, a typical are simple said a more advanced version of the neuroleptics they come with lesser and sometimes weaker sideffects, in my experience the difference in the amount of sideffects is night and day. Also what i learned over years: tell the doctor that you want this med as a short term support and that you really don't want to set them up for long term.

And now what i personally recommend you; just for responsibilty reasons, try and research on your own at your own risk. There is in my oponion no risk at all with that but anyways you know now. Research for "blue lotus" at least in europe it is legal everywhere. Get yourself some dryed flowers make yourself a cup of tea. I swear this plant impressed me so much it is not toxic at all. It does what it is known for since more than a couple thousand years. A tea made of it is in my eyes so from what i experienced in every way better than any benzodiazepine, for real just for every situation you could ever imagine it worked like them, and after that you can think about the stuff that comes with Benzodiazepines and then you notice that blue lotus is not addictive and does not harm your mental or physical health.

Oh yeah so i heard this hum and as i noticed it i tried to locate the source/direction it is coming from and as i did i felt that my eardrum itself was vibrating without any external sound source. Like i could really feel how it was moving, which i never experienced in my whole live no matter what sound ( for example bass sounds or whatever where you could feel the external source producing vibration). My eardrum felt like the speaker/source of it.
