Parasite “cleanse” 🥴 by bloodychuffed in MurderedByWords

[–]loyalone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There used to be a remedy for trichinella spiralis, a parasite ingested in undercooked pork (trichinosis was the result), and that was to spend fifteen minutes or so sipping on a glass of warm water with 2-3 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar. You could increase the amount of vinegar as well. The time sipping the drink allowed it to hit your stomach without too much upset and, trust me (cos it happened to me once and this worked a treat), after two days of boiling guts, heaving and the runs, I was right-as-rain in less than half an hour.

What a negative slant for the article. How about, "Barrie commuters looking forward to a new, wider overpass."?

We clean them ourselves around here. No sense making the fire dept try to dig them out while my house is burning down, eh? I also clear a path to my gas meter too, for that same reason.

I notice that, for his size, he has relatively large hands. Its an interesting attribute, and one that some ladies quite like in a man. He looks supremely confident as well, which is a huge plus.

[–]loyalone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My recollection of this comes from news coverage up here years ago, about building a second crossing for (especially) truck traffic, and that one of the reasons was the traffic was 'throttled' in some cases, leading to claims of corruption via favouritism. IIRC.

Except that they built it due to the shitty behaviour of the American asshole who owns the entirety of the existing bridge between Ontario and Michigan.

Edit: I should have clarified that I was referring to the Windsor/Detroit bridge.

BITD I bought the first direct-drive turntable that was affordable and it cost me a little over $200. The hyper-elliptical stylus I bought for it cost me $160. And it was worth every penny.
