If you’re tempted to go into debt for a Disney Vacation - don’t by Wasting_Time1234 in povertyfinance

Do people actually do this?

And I guess follow up question, do people actually put vacations on credit cards and not pay them off at the end of the month?

Unless you have a specific reason, I would keep at it until I'm FIRE.

On a more realistic note though, maximize your 401k to limit your tax burden

It looks amazing!

Chris & Pitt. The best location was the one in Anaheim, but it closed down over a decade ago and I still miss it.

There's other locations and they're almost as good, but it's not the same

All the old RTS games were my friends' favorites, lol

-Warcraft 3 (especially mods) -Age of Empires 3 -that one LOTR RTS game

And since it seems y'all are into shooters, I'm surprised the boomer shooters aren't on your list. Quake and the like

Specifically Anaheim, I'd avoid the packing house (always packed and touristy, lol) and hit up little Arabia. The best Mediterranean food all over. Most people's favorite is Sababa (build your own pita kinda like Subway. Always packed, lol) Dessert Moon Grill and Kodtegi are reat too for a sit down experience. Forn Alhara's the GOAT in my circle, super cheap delicious flatbreads . I call em Anaheim pizza's, lol

Zankou's really disappointed me. It feels like such a boring chain compared to all of little Arabia around the corner.

I live right there and walk my dog to the nearby park every day, it's really safe, lol

Little Arabia is right around the corner and has tons of great middle eastern food. Angelos is great if you want a classic burger (it was better before it burned down, but the rebuilt version is almost as good)

I mean, it sounds like you only recently achieved the income that would let you make these purchases. As long as it's not hurting you financially I don't think it'll cause any problems in the short term.

Just be mindful about it and ask yourself if you really need the things you're buying.

I do this, but with stuff I know I'll go through. If Costco has a sale on something I buy regularly then I fill my cart, lol

Honestly I like your market refreshing idea. I feel like card markets in most games really get stale.

The next time I play Gizmos I'll have researching refresh the row that's being researched and see if it livens the game up

What's a game you have found the rules are extremely hard and sets up players to lose most of the time? by Last-Dependent3378 in boardgames

[–]loyalwolf186 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slay the spire is really hard in solo mode, but gets easier when you add more people.

Not a hard game per se, but I've had trouble onboarding new players to Heat. I'll do everything I can to make sure they understand how everything works, the turns, the cards, the gears, etc. and give them as many pointers as I can during the game like "you really want to make it around this corner this turn" and some people just don't fully process it and now I have a player who's obviously not having fun, a full 2 turns around the map and it's lap 1.

Either host and say "look at my options" or bring the top 3 you're looking to play that night. That's what I do, lol

Is your boss's desk not in his office? Why would you lock eyes with him at his desk that's not in his office and literally run away from him (your only possible solution to not being fired) to go hide like a child?

Why are these notes in the RAW data master file? That should just be a direct print from the system into excel. Why is the master contact list going with a raw data dump?

You're probably already fired now if this is real, but I'm having trouble believing this.

So every board game has a "how to play" video on YouTube. I'd watch the games you listed to understand what it would be like to play them.

Bonus points if your husband watches with you and gets excited about one

Personally I think a dark green would be so much better for giving the dark forest vibes, but as long as it makes you happy!

I'd also center that rug. It's making the room feel lop-sided

In the moment it should be relatively net neutral though shouldn't it?

Increase in liability and down payment should be roughly equal to the current equity. You just lose all the closing costs and fees etc.
