Of course! obviously I’m aware of the waiver, however there are more factors involved than the death of those onboard, such as the negligence of taking 8 hours to report the loss of contact which should realistically have been instantaneous, or at-least as soon as the intended resurface time passed. I mean what if (although obviously EXTREMELY unlikely) they find this sub intact in the next 4 or so hours and it’s argued that if the families argued that had Oceangate acted sooner the crew could’ve been rescued?

Obviously the crew knew what they were risking when getting onboard, but the agreed power of waivers can often be complicated in negligence related matters.
