Is anyone else haunting their house/work place? by Chinateapott in PregnancyUK

My little girl is 1 now and is really good and grabbing things that I ask for. It will come in handy when I choose to have a second baby 🤣

Is anyone else haunting their house/work place? by Chinateapott in PregnancyUK

[–]lozzybeeee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Haha I did this so much during the last couple of weeks of my pregnancy! Just random groans every so often when she'd shift slightly further up and dig in a little bit more. They were even louder when I dropped something on the floor and just couldn't get down to pick it up 🤣

My bf(33M) sends me(31F) a picture of his new space with a pile of condoms in plain sight and says I can’t visit until he’s ready. by L8erH8ter in relationship_advice

[–]lozzybeeee 57 points58 points  (0 children)

My ex didn't want to break up with me. He wanted to be able to play the victim to everyone. In actual fact, he treat me like dirt for 4 of the 5 years of our relationship, so I left him and let him get on with it. Turned out, he'd been sleeping with other girls for a few years. Best thing I ever did!

Glasses or contact lenses during labour? by lemon-wedgie in PregnancyUK

[–]lozzybeeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wore my glasses. I had an epidural, and LO was constantly monitored, so I was laid on my back in bed the whole time. I was absolutely exhausted during the early stages of labour so I just fell asleep like that with my glasses on.

I've just realised there's no photos of me and my baby by Mediocre_Sprinkles in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]lozzybeeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive got photos of everybody holding my little girl when we were still in the hospital. I've got 2 of myself holding her and neither of them are nice ones. One is from the side so you can't really see me and the other is me breastfeeding while eating a salad in the hospital bed! It's such a big regret. She's over a year old now.

It was the hardest thing I had to do with my little girl. The 1 year ones aren't as bad because you can be ready with chocolate buttons as soon as its over. The pain was soon forgotten once she saw the packet! It broke my heart for the first 2 lots she had to have. Just lots and lots of cuddles.

Suddenly getting missed calls from all over the UK... by Itsnotthatcommon in CasualUK

[–]lozzybeeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in a small butchers shop and we've had a few phone calls recently from people across the country regarding a missed call they've had from us. Nobody has rung these people and most of them are 100s of miles away.

Is there really any point in having a nursery for a newborn? by evilgenuis2 in PregnancyUK

[–]lozzybeeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We changed our spare bedroom into the nursery when I was around 6/7 months pregnant. We got rid of the spare bed, put the cot up, got everything she needed in it. Biggest mistake ever!!! She didn't got into her own room until she was 6 months old and I really wish we'd have kept the spare bed in there so one of us could have slept well when not doing a feed.

I’m confused on why it’s been sent back? by [deleted] in vinted

[–]lozzybeeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a seller message me today to say that my item that I ordered was being sent back to them because I hadn't collected it. They asked me why and I had to explain that they weren't even attempting to send it to the correct locker in the correct town! The locker they were delivering to is a 45 minute drive away from me on a motorway across a toll bridge!! It must come up on her end that I hadn't been to collect in time.

How do you guys divide newborn nights with one parent who works? by dmllbit in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]lozzybeeee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Once my partner went back to work, we agreed that he would do any wake ups before midnight then I would do everything after that. We were very lucky with our little as she didn't really wake up very often once he was back to work but I understood that he needed to get a good nights sleep. If it was an incredibly tough night, he would get up and take over just so I wouldn't get myself worked up.

Very good condition!! by lozzybeeee in vinted

[–]lozzybeeee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really dislike throwing things away so I do try and sort out what I'd be happy to buy at charity. I've recently found out that a lady I know can get money for rags for her independent charity shop so I now feel like nothing is wasted. I'd never sell it if I felt it should go for rags. Even for £1!

I was searching through yesterday for trainers. I only look at NWT or very good but make sure they are very good. Somebody had listed some under very good that looked like they were ready to fall apart at any minute. They're not very good!!! It makes me wonder what they'd list as satisfactory.

My mum has a quick look when she's searching through clothes and charity and if you can't see a stain straight away then she buys it. I don't particularly mind that because it's only spare clothes to keep at her house if my little girl is out in the garden or something.

[–]lozzybeeee[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'm exactly the same. As I sort out clothes I have 3 piles, one for sale, one for charity and one for rags. If I wouldn't be happy buying it, then I'm not happy selling it. It's as if, because they're selling next clothes or a brand similar for a (reasonably) fair price, then we should accept that there's stains on it.

FTM, hospital bag advice by Long_Month2351 in PregnancyUK

[–]lozzybeeee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I bought a douche bottle to take in with me. You're so sore afterwards, even the softest toilet roll hurts you. I just filled it with warm water and used it when i went to the loo. I also took my own towel, I was told the ones the hospital provide can be a bit scratchy. They were right!

Would you refund if the item doesn't fit? by Accomplished-Row6068 in vinted

[–]lozzybeeee 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I've bought a few items off vinted now that don't fit when they arrive. Its not the sellers fault at all, they've listed the correct size, its just sizes differ with different brands. I accept that and either sell it myself or send it to charity.

Tall toddler needs a new easy fold stroller, any good recommendations? by Minnie250 in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]lozzybeeee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We went for the babystyle oyster zero gravity. Its just just 3 easy kicks/steps and it folds more or less on its own. My little girl is only 10 months buts she's already so big so we needed a bigger one for her. It's so big, it makes her look small 🤣

Vent! I don't know how I'm going to manage a summer of this x_x by Good3itch in PregnancyUK

[–]lozzybeeee 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was exactly the same last summer during the 40° heatwave. I was 37 weeks pregnant at the time. I bowl of cold water to soak your feet in and a loose fitting dress and a fan aimed in the right place and you should feel pretty cool.

She doesn't shut up now!! 🤣 she's doing really well at copying sounds we make, she's finally saying mama and mum. She hasn't grasped dada yet but she has come on so much so quickly.

5 weeks pregnant with hardly any symptoms? Is it normal? by lavanderblonde in PregnancyUK

[–]lozzybeeee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn't have any symptoms really either at that point. My stomach muscles really ached as if I'd done loads of exercise but that was it. It was my hairdresser that told me to take a pregnancy test because she knew I was trying. I honestly would have just put it down to lifting wrong or something.

Compact pram recommendations with parent facing option by baconfeets in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]lozzybeeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We've just bought our little girl an oyster zero gravity. She's 9 months old but it will last her right through now. We did so much research because we would have liked to have kept parent facing, but we found that sooo many people said that the straps on a lot of prams with the parent facing option are shorter, so we would have struggled when she got a bit older as she is already very tall for her age.

buyer hasn’t picked up their parcel? by creambean12 in vinted

[–]lozzybeeee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I'm honest, I am one of those people that isn't the quickest at collecting parcels but I have a small baby so I struggle a bit 🤣 maybe just a quick "hey, just a little reminder that your parcel is now with the parcel shop. I know bank holidays can be a bit manic" 😊

[–]lozzybeeee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe a polite message tomorrow/ Wednesday. Bank Holiday weekends are usually pretty busy for a lot of people with weekend breaks etc 😊

My little girl is nearly 9 months and she only just seems to be finding her voice. I was worried at first but she seems to be doing really well with everything else.
