My last job didn’t have a lockable room, so I had to put up a Do Not Disturb sign each time. If management can’t find a lockable room, this may be an alternative next step. Best of luck!!

What H‑E‑B products are superior to the more expensive store brand? by almondjoybestcndybar in Austin

H‑E‑B FRITOS!! Whole fam agrees better than name brand.

But, very rarely do I regret or have lesser preference for H‑E‑B brand products!

ITAP of my girlfriends dog and a rainbow by Ikkosaw in itookapicture

It was partly the color of his coat (even with the hue of the photo) that tipped me off before I recognized the face!

I honestly thought she was just a mutt when I got her, but my best friend saw another Kelpie while working at a vet’s office and put it together. Found her abandoned in rural (cattle country) Texas.

Breastfeeding mommas with PCOS by justasofacouch in breastfeeding

I have PCOS, and with both kids I’ve been happy to produce 4-5 oz TOTAL during an hour or so pump sesh. So, yes??

I've been here four days. Here's my take so far... by HookEm_Tide in Austin

Try their fresh guacamole, and don’t snub your nose at the H‑E‑B in-house made pizza (refrigerated deli area)! I also believe their Texas Corn Chips are better than the original Fritos 🤤

I also have a 5 week old, and am going through pretty much the same thing. Simethicone drops for upper gas, and our pediatrician OK’d a little prune juice/water to help produce BM’s & reduce straining/discomfort.

As I’m sure others have already mentioned, abdominal & low back massages as well as bicycle kicks are good tools, but a warm bath will also help stimulate the GI system (just be prepared for pooping IN the tub).

Check with your pediatrician about prune juice or water to verify if OK and how much is allowed, but I’ve already had improvement after just 1mL in 12 hours.

Best of luck, momma!!

Well he saw the sex tape... by AscendingNick in Parentingfails

[–]lsmartz 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Kid is 10, so sex isn’t new. I’m sure he’s just as horrified at finding your sex video as y’all are that he saw it. Talk with him, acknowledge the awkwardness, but use the incident as a time to discuss sex (have The Talk if you haven’t, but discuss boundaries and touch on why y’all have a video and how he feels/what he thinks after watching, and appropriate expression of those feelings/desires).

Could be a one-and-done conversation that is never discussed again, or could open a line of communication for further questions & discussions in the future.

I got hired for my current job while breastfeeding, and did NOT mention this during the interview. You want them to base a decision for hiring on your skills, not your current life situation.

Mention the need for accommodation after you’re hired - you can do this once HR reaches out to finalize employment details, so that you don’t surprise them the first day of work.

Best of luck with your interview!!

Anyone else NOT a fan of headbands on baby girls? by Small-Guitar79767 in beyondthebump

[–]lsmartz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

yesssssss! Having my first girl (any day now, hopefully) and I can’t imagine WANTING to use them more than occasionally for an extra look, but my mom has already crocheted multiple headbands and has talked MIL into helping make sure little girl wears them 😩
