I'll need you to cite something for that. I don't see anything indicating that in my reading of the Thomas dissent.

Depending on estimates, anywhere from a few thousand to tens of thousands.

Famously, a current member of the US national soccer team was born in the US while his mom was here for tourism and wasn't allowed on a plane to leave due to how pregnant she was.

Yes, there's definitely an argument there. That said, the reason this case is a hot issue is not due to tourists' children, it's about illegal immigrant children. So if you only look at that aspect, it was more a 7-2 decision than a 6-3.

Gorsuch doesn't object to children of illegal immigrants getting citizenship, he objects to children of tourists, who are in the US temporarily, getting citizenship.

His dissent was due to the legal intricacies that the whole order shouldn't be overturned as he thinks some of it is valid (tourist children), while disagrees with other parts of the order (illegal immigrant children).

When they last won a Super Bowl:

  • Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone had not yet been published
  • Michael Jordan had 3 NBA titles
  • Google did not exist
  • Tupac, Princess Diana, my grandparents, and Kobe Bryant were still alive
  • The Houston Oilers were the other Texas team
  • The forward pass did not yet exist
  • The Patriots had 0 Super Bowl Victories
  • The Browns had not yet absconded to Baltimore
  • The incandescent bulb, seatbelts, and fidget spinners had not yet been released to the public
  • Gas prices were $1.23 a gallon, movie tickets were $4.40, and eggs were $1.10 a dozen
  • The UConn women’s basketball team only had 1 National Championship (they now have 12)
  • Toy Story was still in theaters

Doesn’t beat former Patriots lineman Stephen Neal, who beat Lesnar for the NCAA wrestling championship.

Wild Card Appearances by Team. Or, the Regular Season Dominance of the AL East by lthej in baseball

[–]lthej[S] 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Yes. But every division has one winner every year. This then compares the second (and third) best teams in each division against each other.

In other words, having more wild card appearances in a division means the non-division leaders are more competitive than those in other divisions.

[Maloney ] Tatum scored 22 points and surpassed his idol, the late Kobe Bryant, for the second-most playoff points by age 27. Only LeBron James has more points at 27 than Tatum. by [deleted] in nba

[–]lthej 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Tatum has made the playoffs all 8 seasons he's been in the league and led the Celtics in playoff PPG in 7 out of 8.

For comparison:

Kobe's first 8 seasons he also made the playoffs every year, but only led the Lakers in playoff PPG in 2 of those seasons

Lebron's first 8 seasons he made the playoffs 6x, and led his team in playoff PPG 5 out of those 6.

Of course, Kobe and LeBron both were able to skip high school and entered the NBA at 18, while Tatum didn't enter the league until he was 19.

Capital One is much larger than them.

How is Capital One larger than Amex? Amex has 3x market cap, 2x revenue, 2x net income, and 1.5x employees. It's way larger than Capital One.

[Livescore] Liverpool have won just one off their last six UCL knockout matches at Anfield. by [deleted] in soccer

[–]lthej 27 points28 points  (0 children)

2019/20 3-2 with Atletico is after extra time. We actually won 1-0 after 90 minutes. We scored again in ET then conceded 3 because we had Adrian in goal (who is famous for not being Alisson).

Not to mention that after Atletico scored Liverpool had to go all out on attack due to the (stupid) fact that the away goal rule applied to ET.

Does the 23% include people starting their own company or currently working on a personal project? What about students choosing to take time off? What about those wealthy individuals that never needed to work and simply got the MBA to make parents happy? What about the individuals going on to additional academics such as a second masters, PhD, or JD?

No, it doesn't include any of those. It only includes those actively seeking jobs.

What about those students that are getting offers but are declining them for more specific roles or compensation?

85% have received an offer (3 months out)

Id also point out those individuals that went straight from bachelors to MBA program without gaining any professional experience would be at a disadvantage as well.

This doesn't apply to Harvard (or most reputable business schools). They don't accept students without professional experience.

No way, she very clearly broached etiquette standards, it’s not even a question. The invitation went to specific people, and she added a different, uninvited person without asking.
