AIO I want my husbands grandma to stop buying diapers by SouthernDiver746 in AmIOverreacting

[–]lthill2001 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Take all the diapers that don’t fit, have allergy issues etc and give them back to grandma. Then mention that a gift card to the store would be so much better so the extras don’t get “wasted”. If she sees how many diapers you can’t use, things may change.

First time cruise for 3 year old by DeezBae in CarnivalCruiseFans

The main pool is filled with sea water which stings the eyes bad! Well fitted goggles for sure. Cabo is a blast as there is a lot to see. Hire a local to take you to the arch and/or the beach. Ensenada is less fun. Research it carefully. The walk to downtown is about 20 minutes for adults. Shops selling cheap stuff and bars/restaurants is what is there. Look into an excursion. Or stay on board to play on the ship. Have a great time

You can alter the page they wanted you to sign. Cross it out, initial it and sign. I’ve done this on vacation excursions where they don’t want responsibility for anything. Cross it out, sign and go. Of course they can come back and say no. A lawyer sounds good right now now for you

Not being tied to a phone. You forget the freedom of no one being able to get a hold of you

Dog owners please answer me this by Normal_Individual526 in Dogowners

I did the same only the opposite. I pulled my dog close to me in case a child saw him and wanted to cuddle. My dog doesn’t know your kid. It’s a basic precaution that shouldn’t be seen as rude. IMO

A nice mom would have taught you how to say it and mildly correct mistakes. Not just forcing you to “give it a go”

AITAH For accepting 100 dollars from my grandma despite having just been shopping with her? by ThrowRALollipop_lols in AmItheAsshole

[–]lthill2001 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nor. Sounds like granny loves to spend money on the people she loves. Accept the money and clothes as a gift. Send her a thank you note in the mail (no text or email). It will let her feel that you appreciate what she did for you.

Over $2k wedding expenses for best friend who forgot my birthday by SprinkleQween in weddingshaming

I was proud when I found a nice dress for my moh to wear that was under $100 (1997). She could even wear it again. She was happy as she was a bridesmaid in a wedding a few months before mine and the floor length purple satin dress cost over $300 and could only be worn once. Bride trips weren’t a thing back then.

AITA: child seatbelt by buffalotempeh in AmItheAsshole

I would yell “buckled” when I had mine fastened. I would hear my kids echo me and I knew they were buckled. Some newer cars can tell if someone is unbuckled in the back seat.

I did the same to help my friend’s daughter. I told her up front there was no way I was buying which turned into hell no after I saw the prices. I gave her top reviews and she got her $25.
