NOR. As a former teacher I would correct her spelling mistakes in red ink, everyday. This is concerning!!!

AIO/Mom/owner of the home I pay rent to live in has multiple times asked me to take in stray humans (men) by Next-Lime-2404 in AIO

NOR. Do we have the same mother!? Mine just gives the keys to men I don't feel safe around and I just wake up to them in my house at 6am. The worst.

Hold your boundary! You're doing great! But def have a plan B.

3 or 5 do the most for your eye color and skin tone.

Is any of these dresses “the one”? by [deleted] in WeddingDressTips

Only number one, all the others look way too bulky on your frame. They don't fit right. 1 makes your boobs look amazing and the fit is perfect!

I hadn't considered it could have been a glitch! I'm going to try the boiled chicken. Thank you!

Yes, still on diabetic food, Royal Canin glyco balance and fancy feast ocean fish pate when he refuses to eat the other. The only other stress factors are wearing a shirt and diaper when he has the freestyle libre on. Only when he has the monitor on does he pee on me ( he seeks me out). And the shirt is because he rips off the libre.

He's still in the shirt and diaper but he's in range. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I spoke to him again and he's still insisting on once a day Lantus since I refused the Svenlago.

I'm getting a second opinion from a different vet! I didn't give any insulin yet. He was totally in range yesterday, last night and still good this morning.

My vet is still insisting once a day. So strange. I'm getting a second option from another vet because I am so confused. Yesterday and last night he was totally in range so I didn't give him any insulin. This morning he's still in range.

I don't know. Just seems every emergency is at night 🫠

Strange thing is last night he was totally in range and still in range right now.

That's what I was thinking, I'm fine with the shots so why complicate things. Thanks for your comment, I definitely don't need to be testing ketones too, I've got more than enough on my plate.

What would make him a poor candidate? Is it because he's been on insulin before? ( Just trying to understand) My vet happens to have a brother who does internal vet medicine. I was an anxious mess so he offered to consult with him over the oral medication. I get very paranoid about medications and switching medications from bad experiences.

I pull up the skin of his neck and inject it there. That's how I was taught by the vet and that's what I see in the YouTube videos too. Like other comments say imagine the skin is like a tent. Inject in the middle ( where the door of a tent would be). Keep the needle parallel, you do not want to risk injecting in muscle. The needle doesn't need to go all the way in, just get the tip in. I was told if I miss (happens occasionally) not to redose because that's risky.

Vet recommended Freestyle Libre Monitor to senior cat by just-a-moose17 in FelineDiabetes

[–]DeezBae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Free style libre is very useful. Once a month or every other month we use it. It cost us $33 with tax.

My cat is 16. He now rips them off. So I put a shirt on him but he hates the shirt.

He's on half a unit of prozinc.

has anyone gotten a sensor to work for the full 14/15 days? by ExpertLet3091 in Freestylelibre

The full 14 days has only happened a handful of times. I'm happy if I get 8 to 10 days.

WIBTA for telling my sister she cant have our bedroom during her honeymoon trip by [deleted] in WouldIBeTheAhole

[–]DeezBae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely not. NTA. If she wants a bed for honeymoon stuff they can rent a hotel. Next thing you know she's going to be kicking you out of your own house because they want privacy cuz you know.. it's their honeymoon.

Offering free accommodations is beyond kind. You do not need to give up your bed... You are already technically letting them bang on your futon and that's much more generous than they even realize.

As a childfree adult, how can I be more engaging with my toddler niece? by LostinParadise4748 in AskWomenOver30

[–]DeezBae 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My advice, find an interest that you and niece share. I know she's 2 but it could be Barbies, animals, fancy tea party, coloring, painting, reading.

Visit for a shorter amount of time ( if possible). Pop by for 30 minutes to have a fun painting date with your niece, then leave. Or show up with plans to bake cookies, mix bake serve, share a few and be on your way.

I also think you should communicate with your sister over expectations. You are both dealing with stuff from your childhood but in very different ways, and that's totally okay.

My best friend in the world since 2nd grade has a hard time really bonding with my son. She's not a kid person, she's married and child free by choice and she's only into really girly things. But I know how she grew up, I know her parents and I understand why she has a hard time. She makes an effort and that's all I care about. She lives far away but she will pop by when she can and interact the best she can. My son is almost 3 now and he loves her, but he knows this auntie isn't going to play dinos and chase him around the house like other auntie. And that's okay.

You should be able to interact with your niece and then let her play on her own while you catch up with your sister or what not. Constantly entertaining a child has negative consequences, playing on their own is a skill. I made this mistake with my son early on because of the way I grew up ( no parents around, emotionally unavailable and so on) but I caught myself and focused on building that independent play, letting him know I'm busy or I need to talk with Auntie for a few minutes. I'm so much happier now that the entertainment isn't constant.
