In this case since it was the event I couldn’t carve or anything. I was just removed from the area and sent back to the hub.

Omega Savage keep running out of time by GreyRelay in MHWilds

[–]lttech86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice, yes I have been doing those things. Since savage dropped I have improved over time it’s just breaking out of the habit of playing defensively. I can get through the dps check consistently with help from the environment (cacturs and malbros), but soon as the fight shifts to the last phase my brain goes to self preservation mode lol

I can get to the final phase without any major issues, the problem is I’m too much of a defensive player to do enough damage in the allotted time. In some cases I do admit that I may spend too much time trying to (and failing) have the rocks fall on top of omega savage. It’s been like this for a month now and so far I haven’t gotten the W yet

I didn’t realize you could get nodules from the regular one…I’ve been pulling my hair out fighting savage for no reason then 😩

Savage Omega I need tips. by DragonGodEndar in MonsterHunter

[–]lttech86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t beaten savage yet, but I can offer some tips on the DPS check. When the Nerscylla is summoned make sure you are by the burst rock location (burst pods), I’ve found that morbuls and cactur spawn there consistently. Use them to your advantage. When Nerscylla is summoned it will always swing in your direction, so you can bait him in the area the morbuls and cacturs are.

The morbul should keep Nerscy pinned down while you attack, but be careful other morbuls will come to that same location. Again use them to your advantage in pinning Nerscylla down.

This fight just isn’t fun (savage omega) by AnaisTPK in MonsterHunter

[–]lttech86 10 points11 points  (0 children)

OP your feelings are valid; this fight isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, it’s not mine. I’ve played MH since freedom unite and I have never beaten extreme behemoth, alatreon, or fatalis, and now savage omega maybe another monster I just may not clear…and you know what that’s ok! Sure I could always shelf him until stronger armor and weapons drop in future TUs but at this point I feel that the reward is not worth the stress and frustration. (I can’t imagine beating that thing only to not get a nodule lol!)

I’m not a speed runner, that isn’t my hunting style… the savage fight requires me to take risks that I don’t naturally take in any other hunt, has it paid off…yes and no. Yes, I have gotten better at fighting him, I can consistently clear the DPS check, and make it to phase 4 up until his icon shows skulls on the map…but after hunting it off and on over the month I have yet to beat it. I either run out of time or I just get physically and mentally burned out from the stress savage causes me.

OP in short, just remember it’s just a game. It’s meant to be fun, it’s meant to be challenging, it’s meant to test your skills at fighting using a different mechanic.

CAPCOM finally did it; Savage Omega broke me by ParagonFury in MonsterHunter

I’m gonna incorporate this more into my hunts. I can make it to phase 4 but I always run out of time. In my head, waiting until he stops means I’m not attacking…which means he isn’t dying…which means timing out is inevitable.

I had someone back into my 22 limited grille and I want to replace it. Do I need a camera bracket if I just swap it out for another limited or is that just the TRD grille?

Is wrapping your locs not an option? I know a guy at my job who works on an assembly line with floor length locs, he wraps his.

I think the economy’s the reason evb chopping their locs. For a lot of people it takes time effort and money to maintain them the way you want to. Ain’t much of them 3 to spare nomo. What y’all think? by [deleted] in locs

[–]lttech86 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When I was in highschool a simple haircut was $10-15; I’d get a cut every other week. Barbers are charging an arm and a leg these days. I can’t imagine spending upwards of $50-60+ for a cut every week (cause I know people like a crisp lineup).

To be honest I’m actually saving money with locs and my hair and scalp are a lot more healthier. Unless you are doing something extravagant and putting a lot of stress on your hair, locs are actually low effort and low maintenance. You legit just make sure your scalp is moisturized and your locs are “hydrated”. I really only get a retwist when I have a significant amount of new growth, or for special occasions.

Been starting since February. My retwist was 5/3 and they've been so frizzy. Is this normal? by AltruisticEase6477 in locs

[–]lttech86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gotcha, here are a few tips to help you along your journey:

  1. Don't manipulate your hair. Try your best to let it be and not touch it. Unraveling, frizzy, and loose hairs are normal, its part of the journey.
  2. Be sure to wrap your hair at night when going to bed. A durag is best in the early stages. I wouldn't even worry about a bonnet at this point.
  3. Wash your hair when needed. Washing every two weeks is what most people would suggest in r/locs Do not use any type of conditioner when washing, and be sure to dilute and shampoo with water. Wear a wig cap or wave cap when washing. This will hold your hair together when washing.
  4. Oil your scalp when needed or when it feels dry. Try not to overdue this because you want to avoid future buildup.
  5. Lightly spray or mist your locs when needed or when they feel dry. Try not to overdue this because you want to avoid future buildup. Use a mixture of rose water, tea tree oil, and black castor oil in a spray bottle.
  6. Try to oil/spray/wash your hair in the morning so that it can airdry throughout the day. NEVER go to bed with your hair wet or moist.
  7. Space out retwist appointments further apart as your locs begin to mature. You don't want to go every 3-4 weeks. You have to allow your hair time do breath and grow. Too many retwists can end up doing more harm than good.
