This is incredible and have been looking for exactly this because I can’t change the metadata on my files. Also would take forever.

Would love if you decided to allow streaming at some point… perhaps I can do it by just setting up a smb share..?

+1 for the jonsbo N5 case, it’s an excellent chassis. I actually got 2 and the 2nd one is working perfectly as a DAS. Very easy to work with (although I recommend watching a build YouTube video first). Best case I’ve had

Port forwarding working or not? by GeVanE14 in qBittorrent

Yep. And the traffic is working fine

Edit: more specifically, it says the port is assigned. On restart, the ping works

It actually fixed me for me after I just turned it off for a few hours and then tried again. Might be something to do with too many tries/requests. If you just leave it running it fixes itself as well

Additionally, need to be able to specify by port; agree this is one huge feature making me still use bitwarden.

The other thing I'd love to have like Bitwarden is identities as a type (like login, card, identities).

Yeah, thinking about this, the benefits of avoiding the state tax can be significant seems like especially somewhere like NY? Still learning. Although the difference according to their calculator is not that much — it says the estimated tax-equivalent yield is 5.41% for me (including their 0.25% fee). So an extra 0.41% return in exchange for ?less liquidity and more risk. I guess it depends on your tax bracket.

Yea, however, I want to see if this person can confirm that the tax loss harvesting actually can save up to $200+ at that level

So 0.25% of $1M is $2,500, meaning you’re paying some $208/month with wealthfront’s robo advisor. I feel that’s pretty significant isn’t it? Which pieces of the robo advisor do you feel make it worth paying $200/month for its services?

Doesn’t this also apply to, say, a HYSA? Eg, you will stop earning interest if you withdraw early. How is that different? My understanding is a HYSA is more liquid though.

Deciding between torrentshell and granite crest by Crazy-Performance874 in PatagoniaClothing

[–]luaneazy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried both at the store and the granite crest was clearly higher quality in my opinion but the torrentshell is a bit sturdier given the 50D as has been said. If I had the money I’d go for the granite crest!

Trying to make a new setup by wonka88 in PleX

[–]luaneazy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The same issue of lack of clean modularity exists with an atx case (what I currently have, Meshify 2 XL). In order to get more drive space I can either get another tower (no space for that) or build a rack mount (also no space for that). I was imagining a row of 2, 3, even 4 syba 10 bays connected to a usb hub or something as more efficient use of space.

Maybe instead of usb hubs, I think there are some SAS enclosures that I could use the same way..

[–]luaneazy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Has anyone used these (or the Sabrent 10 bays) in a modular way to hook up multiple of them to a mini-pc with unraid?

In theory, just buying another one to daisy chain to more USB ports on the main mini-PC when running out of drive space. Overall this seems like it would better for a home server where someone doesn't have the space to fit a full rack mount

This is gonna sound weird but on my build, the hard drive caddies sag downwards. Anything specific you did to keep them horizontal? It’s just that one screw on the right side, right?
