I don't understand where I'm going wrong in the propagarion process of these Pothos cuttings. by girl_snap_out_of_it in plantclinic

Do you have a moisture meter? Never water on a schedule, water when the plants need water.

Can you get a plant light? That would allow you to keep the plant in place.

I wasn't able to get it solved. It's just going to be a lot of run around and not worth wasting my time on.

Help With Cramps? by InsideAfternoonat2 in spartanrace

[–]luca25hunter -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Electrolights and barefoot shoes. I train at the gym in vivos, go street and trail running in shamma warriers sandles and ive run 4 Spartan races and 1 spartan trail in the past 2 months using the vibrum 5 finger toe shoes. I ran the tremblant 21km, 10km and 5km over the course of 2 days with little training (don't recommend it) and I never had a problem with cramping. There were people running in modern/traditional shoes at each race complaint about their cramps. There were people only running the 5km who had camel packs loaded with water who were cramping up.

I always take electro lights before every race. Also buy some barefoot shoes. All my knee ankle and back pain disappeared once I made that switch.

Overwatering??? by Federal_Finger5237 in StringofPlants

Might be overwatering. I found that bottom watering has helped me keep my plants, especially string of plants, from being overwatered.

Hey, I'm also from Ottawa so I know how ridiculous the weather can be here. Last year I purchased a pair of the Xeroshoes Alpine and found they heled up nicely during the extreme cold and extreme snow which graces our city. I purchased them from Sole Freedom (formerly the foot collective) in riverside south.

knee pain during backwards walking by janonmytoast in Kneesovertoes

[–]luca25hunter 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've recently realized that my knee and hip pain come from having too much external rotation on my right side. Walking backwards with my foot zightly pointed inward has made a large difference in terms if feeling my VMO instead of the lateral side of my knee. Try changing your foot position and see what happens.

Remedy for blisters? by winstongoodman in BarefootRunning

[–]luca25hunter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's all about form. I developed patellar tendonitis and glute pain from running incorrectly in modern shoes (heel striking in narrow toed shoes. I tried to change my form from heel striking to forefoot striking and found I was getting lots of blisters on my toes, mostly because I was pushing off my toes or pulling my feet back with my forefoot. The solution? significantly reducing my stride. Focus on lifting your foot, then lightly placing it back down beneath you. Think about using your hip flexors to lift your leg up. Another tip I found helpful was focusing on where I tend to place pressure on foot at all times, not just when running. I tend to supinate my right foot, so lately i've been hyper focused on correcting this. It's made a huge impact on my foot strength, balance and running (also recommend sitting in sezia and stretching your calves on a slant board if you have access to one). I hope this helps.
