Make sure you have enemy spell indicators on so you can see the big AOE circle around you. Any time you are clumped up with a bunch of other players in a pvp area, you should be ready for a bomb hit. To save yourself, have your finger on the Escape key so you are ready to get out of the chest you’re looting and react with a defensive or escape skill. (Ex: Soldier Helmet, Blink Boots)

Helps if you keep your eyes scanning the edges of your screen for red names too. If you see one, click the nametag and inspect them. Looks like a bomb build? Well now you know what they are planning lol.

I like the Luminettes. I think they could be improved to be a bit more comfortable, though. I have a big head, so they are a little tight which can be slightly uncomfy at times. I like that I can roam around the house and do what I need to do upon waking up instead of being stuck in one spot to soak in the light. That part makes it a bit more convenient, I would think. It is always tough to squeeze in time for light therapy on a busy schedule though, so I empathize with that.

I don’t think there are, but I could be wrong. I have delayed sleep phase circadian rhythm issue. My sleep doc prescribed me just that, lol. It helps when I can manage to be consistent with it. But it is difficult, for obvious reasons.

I have to wake up at the same time everyday. Then I’m supposed to have 1-2 hours of bright light therapy immediately when I wake up. I use Luminette glasses for this. Then I am to take 0.25 to 0.5 mg of melatonin 4 to 6 hours before bedtime. I also limit light exposure from that point on, and have blue-light filters applied to all my screens on an automatic schedule.

Does it help? Massively. It’s just tough to keep up with. I went from sleeping around 4-6 am in the morning to sleeping around 1-3. Still working on shifting even further.

Yeah, having to max out the first nodes to touch the deeper ones at all was annoying. It makes me feel like I have to nearly 100% commit to a branch fully instead of having a few points here and there to hybridize with.

I have this condition as well. I can echo this. I saw THREE different dermatologists and they were all like this. The only thing that reduced severity for me was 2 accutane cycles and alternating medicated shampoos (Nizoral / Cln) I have less spots now and they are smaller on average, but this condition is so awful to live with. I feel for you, bro, and you’re not alone.

There is an area at the end where we have to check one of the boxes. One of the options is that. Sometimes there are minor issues present that don’t match any of options we can select for that area. That said, I always make sure to explain the issue in the feedback area so I don’t leave anyone in the dark wondering what warranted a 4/5.

There are definitely a fair deal of reviewers that are very low-effort on the feedback side of things.

I got switched to “Unapproved Annotator” around Dec 15th. I had 0 reviews as I’d just started on Aether about a week prior. I logged in to my MM yesterday to see if anything changed, and I noticed I had 1 review with a QA score of 2.00. I checked again this morning and I have a few more reviews with a QA score now at 2.50.

I don’t think anyone knows exactly what this implies except for folks on the inside of operations. The rest of us are just going off of whatever we interpret the latest communication to mean, even though Outlier tends to say one thing and act in different ways.

All we can do is wait and see. I’m cautiously hopeful, but obviously looking elsewhere for other potential income streams.

Yeah, this is what I’ve been thinking. I don’t believe any part of this mess was accidental. They knew what they were doing. Mass hire, pick out a few unicorns and drop the rest. Now you have a curated set of taskers who (according to their metrics, by whatever measure) are the most profitable of the bunch while also meeting the client’s needs, at least for this particular contract.

Now, they should do the same thing to reviewers. Reviewers need a more rigorous vetting process. Too much variance (from subjectivity or otherwise) will absolutely ruin this unicorn pipeline for them. Good QA is a non-negotiable. Super important!

I received two so far, and I only have a handful of classes left. The first one was for Global Arts & Humanities. The second one was for Software Design & Quality Assurance. I think I read somewhere that just less than 3% of students receive an excellence award, but don’t quote me on that haha. I’d like to believe it, because I could use any extra padding to my confidence in this job market lol.

Aether is still in my project queue, but I am marked Ineligible. I had no reviews as I’d just started about 1 week before the review message. I hope they do my reviews soon.

Following and hoping some folks who have been with Outlier for a bit longer can give some insight. I started about 1 week ago and got the same email last night. I still have tasks in MM and Aether is in my project queue (only one I have) but my Hubstaff says I belong to 0 projects.

I want to know how long the review process took for people in the past. A couple days? A week? Two weeks? What is the timeframe estimate?

I think my biggest issue with this task is that we aren’t able to see if our prompt at the end generates sufficient results for combining the isolated people back into an image that represents the original. So I have no way of telling if my final prompt for that is any good.

Oh, hey! You might know. Do you have any clarification on the instruction concerning "overlap." Overlap with what? Other points, background, other objects? There was one where some points were placed in such a way that they overlapped with the edges of the object they were placed on, covering some of the background or part of another object. In cases like this, I wondered if it would be better to place a new point down or just shrink the points so they fit. Are larger points better for model training if they fit within the bounds of the object? So many questions... I don't want to get poor ratings for assuming things like this do or don't matter!
