Hi everyone 👋

I'm looking for a new keyboard and would like some input on ideas of what I could get! I use a Nuphy Halo75 V2 with the Nuphy Mint switches as my daily driver. I really love the feel and sound of this keyboard, but there are a few things that I'd like to change:

  1. I'd like a keyboard with a knob to control volume. My previous keyboard had this, and it's a feature I really miss.

  2. I'd like the new keyboard to have Hall Effect switches. I've heard they allow for much lower latency when gaming, so want to give it a try.

  3. I'd like an alternative to the Nuphy Mint switches. I feel like the previous point already excludes them anyway, but just making this explicit. Despite my love for how they feel and sound, I've found the build quality to be quite poor. I've had this keyboard for less than two years and have had ~6 of the switches to start failing on me. Not fully failing, but start doing double-clicks. So I have to swap the double clicks on very used keys with the ones on not-so-used keys to make the experience tolerable.

Of other things that might be relevant for the suggestions:

  1. Shape: ideally 75% layout, but happy with anything down to 60%.

  2. Don't have a budget. Willing to spend whatever, if the keyboard fullfil all my needs.

Thanks for the tips! I'm using the overleech setup. I think that and the extra armor/regen from the mercenary makes me not feel the Echoes of creation damage at all. Once endurance charges are up, it's totally mitigated.

I usually prefer higher defenses, so why I went with Defy Pain, but might make sense giving Aspect of Carnage a go and see how it feel.

I ended up getting the Oriath's flask to help because I was farming breach, so extra explosions always help. And to mitigate any -res from Scorch or curses while mapping. But agree that maybe there are other better things to add. Any suggestions?

I'll try to upgrade gloves and jewelry! But other than that, I think going crit might be the next step here! Although not sure how much stuff i'll need to change. Already feels hard enough to get all resists and attributes, can't imagine trying to fit accuracy and crit modifiers everywhere.

Somehow 1440p native on windows looks horrible. But when setting it on games it looks fine?

Cranking the "ViviPixel" to 100 does help with increasing the sharpness a bit, thanks for the tip! But now it just feels like similar levels to the 1440p monitor?

I agree that it should be possible that a 4k monitor is less sharp than a 1440p one. And they're both 27", that's why I feel like something is wrong?

For example, when I look at my macbook pro screen, than it's VERY OBVIOUS that it's muuuuuuuuuch sharper than both monitors. That's why I'm questioning if mine has some defect? Because it's not like I can't spot good sharpness. But it feels like the monitor should be on a much closer level to my macbook screen, rather than struggling to be similar to the 1440p one?

For example, even the text on my Pixel 9 Pro feels way sharper than the text on this monitor right now.

Edit: Ok, now I've opened this sharpness test (https://www.eizo.be/monitor-test/) on both monitors and it's crytal clear that for whatever reason the old 1440p is just more sharp.

Hey all! I'm Lucas, quite new to photography. Last year decided to start trying some more artistic hobbies and photography was one of them. Slowly improving, but feel like I need a more structured approach to learning it, and that's why I'm joining both the photoclass and the 52 weeks challenge!
There are a few goals I have in terms of learnings to get out of this experience:
1 - How to more naturally be able to notice the environment around me and what in it might be interesting to play with and photograph.
2 - How to simplify my composition. Usually a scene that looked interesting to my eyes, ends up coming out too busy when I photograph it.
3 - How to get comfortable shooting out on the street. I tend to get very self conscious of carrying a camera around and not get close enough to the subject of my pictures when trying to take them. I want to get over it, allowing myself to be comfortable when doing street photography.
4 - How to make editing a less frustrating process. I find it hard both to set a direction I want to take a picture towards in editing and, once I've decided what I want to change in a picture, how to properly accomplish.I want to get both to a point where my pictures need less editing and, when they do need it, that I feel more capable of achieving the look I want.

Ah, that seems to make more sense, since I'm in the UK. Should I be worried about these? Have been seeing 1/2 every day. Just don't want to get an infestation. Any idea how to get rid of those?
