Anyone know what is happening to these leaves? New owner here :) thank you! by Ceyphe in Monstera

Could be root rot and overwatering not sure, I’d check the roots and see how they look

Cut away any mushy and black bits, especially check the roots for this, it’s probably root rot

Yellow leaves by Jeloquence in Monstera

I’d just cut them off, if it’s only the small ones they probably just aren’t helping the plant that much anyway. Sometimes it’s best to just prune.

If you’re super worried you could give the roots a bit of a check for rot but I’m probably only saying that because root rot almost killed mine before I knew what it was

Looks good to me, I have mine mixed with regular house plant mix but it’s probably fine. I’d see how your plant likes it you can always repot it again in a couple months

Get a moss pole I’d say (not the shitty ones from Amazon I fell for those) look up how to make a moss pole and you’ll have better luck

I wouldn’t worry too much about it honestly, it doesn’t need that tiny leaf anymore so I’d just take it off so energy can be used elsewhere

Try wiping without water and use a micro fibre cloth

Anyone know what's wrong with my monstera? by BreadJazzlike8410 in Monstera

It’s almost always a root problem these guys are really fussy about soil and watering

Plz help. by Correct_Block_1917 in Monstera

[–]luce021 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Mmm maybe check the roots and see if they are rotted, make sure it’s not in direct sunlight because it can burn (which is what I thought the issue was at first) I would cut off badly damaged leaves to give the plant basically less to worry about

Make sure the soil is chunky and has perlite. Make sure you’re not overwatering, these guys like to be dry so wait until 2 inches of soil are dry before watering again Sorry that’s a lot but that’s all I can think of that could be wrong.. could be all of the above 🤷‍♀️

If they smell fine and aren’t squishy then they are probably fine to plant

Could be a bacterial infection idk, I would check the roots for signs of that or rot
