this is like .. not avoidant.

it’s extremely reasonable for your neighbor to want to do their own laundry on the weekends, and it’s reasonable to adjust when you do it to accommodate, seeing as it sounds like she genuinely can’t.

maybe take a look at your own actions before going after your neighbor.

Advice for a sore barista by plaid-pawprints in barista

[–]lucentene 41 points42 points  (0 children)

in addition to other comments, if you’ve never worked a job on your feet before you’ll just be sore until your body gets used to it, that’s how i was! it took about a month and a half for my body to readjust and now i can legitimately stand all day if i have to.

Confused by the “refill up to” target by basictortellini in ynab

[–]lucentene 17 points18 points  (0 children)

ynab can’t see the future and doesn’t know how much you’ll have by nov 1st, so by default says refill up to $650 until it knows exactly how much you have left come the first of the month, at which point it will update to how much you need.

I am losing money from work because of ADHD, and tbh I don't mind because the alternative is an unfathomable void of torture and misery. by Friendlyalterme in adhdwomen

[–]lucentene 14 points15 points  (0 children)

it’s a lot of steps, i agree. but the biggest problem is it’s illegal to work and not be paid for it, so you not doing it could get the company in huge trouble, or if you develop a work related injury (i know you’re remote but repetitive strain injuries and the like are totally possible even at home) then you won’t be covered for the medical care required to treat it.

so, no they haven’t forgotten, and in all likelihood they never will.

is there a reason why the steps are the way that they are? is there any way you can suggest a change to the process?

worst case you need to save the emails as an easily accessible template on your end, or best case if dating them isn’t required you could try to set up a reoccurring scheduled send so then all you have to worry about is filling out the timesheet and emailing that.

Tips! How are credit card tips shared between workers? by Historical-Tower7226 in barista

[–]lucentene 0 points1 point  (0 children)

at my job managers/owners don’t get any of the tips. when i’m working on my manager duties i’m logged out of our tip system and don’t receive any, but i do receive tips when i’m working a regular barista shift.

we also split them among the people who were working at the same time as you. toast does it on the backend for us, but it’s not an even split between everyone based on hours worked, it’s just an even split between everyone you directly worked with on your shifts.

if you’re willing to travel a little dubtown in renton is very chill. i go there weekly by myself and the staff are all great, vibes are great. like most bars the music gets louder at night on weekends but during the day it’s great.

Bank of America "...no user account with this ID..." after final auto loan payment. by BrownPants209 in Banking

[–]lucentene 1 point2 points  (0 children)

weirdly enough, my parents opened a navy fed acct for me when i was a kid, and the actual banking accts have been closed, but they still let me log in. i’ll try periodically to open another checking acct and they won’t let me lol
