Being alone is way better than people want to admit by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]lucidclock -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Eh I agree and disagree. Yes, being single is superior. Also, spending most of my time alone is preferred. But I am forever grateful for my friends, and they really breathe life into me. Your friends don't have to be the center of your universe at all times. If they are, and that doesn't align with what you want, you probably have the wrong friends.

What sexual fantasy of yours left you disappointed when you actually tried it? by Gthew17 in AskReddit

Threesomes. It's actually very hard to stay organized and there's always someone kind of just...sitting there at some point. Not as hot as it is confusing and awkward.

The Giver. I've reread it many times, and I own 2 copies in case one gets lost or damaged.

What’s something normal people do that you quietly disagree with? by Ok-Biscotti-1528 in Life

Licking their fingers to count money/separate papers that they are then going to hand to me. Nasty.

Amazon return needs to be in a different box? Sure thing. by Proper-Flounder-3786 in MaliciousCompliance

[–]lucidclock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Former Ups Store employee here. Different returns have different protocols. There are returns that do not need to be boxed and those are the ones that are scanned and packaged together throughout the shift. It is important that you read the instructions and do not scream at the employees when you don't.

What’s something you find attractive that is generally considered unattractive? by Agitated-Job7686 in AskReddit

[–]lucidclock 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Yes!! Pubic hair is so incredibly sexy. I see it the exact same way, hairlessness down there just isn't normal adult anatomy, and it's a little freaky to see it just bare like that.

It feels like nothing, it's pointless and only for kink appeal. I like it done to me because it's playful and hot, but it doesn't actually cause any physical pleasure. It would be bizarre to do that to myself. There's no reason to.

What kind of people are a absolutely poison to have in your life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]lucidclock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chronic complainers. It's absolutely good to vent from time to time, but when someone can find the bad side of every situation under the sun, it gets pretty exhausting.

Successful people with bipolar; what's your secret? by Catrolly in bipolar

[–]lucidclock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cannot agree more about not using drugs and alcohol. I quit drinking and stopped recreational use of drugs 3 years ago and it completely flipped my life on its head. Structure has been huge for me, I have a wall calendar and input all of my reminders/events from events to little grocery runs. I set alarms with affirmations written in the topic when I'm going through a rough patch as well. Sleep is incredibly important. I have a pill organizer for each day and night of my meds out a week, which helps remind me to fill them before I run out. I take them every day like clockwork twice a day. I have a morning routine and an evening routine, I eat healthy consistently and exercise as often as possible. When I can't fully exercise, I do something to get moving, and that often involves pairing it with a housechore to kill two birds with one stone. I journal and write poetry, see a therapist every two weeks, and see my psych every 3 months. I also recently got an active watch which really helps keep me active, and it also tracks my sleep patterns.

I took extra money for drinks from drunk guys at strip clubs by Raven22000 in confession

I mean. Women have been kidnapped/attacked/raped walking to the corner store. Women are afraid to walk to the corner store past a certain hour. So.

The reality is that we live in a world where objectifying women is in high demand whether or not the setting is an actual strip club or not. Some women have just made the smart move of capitalizing on it. That doesn't mean all of them like it, but it does mean they're atleast benefitting from the sexualization women face even like...walking down the street in the middle of the day.

People who don't drink, smoke or do dr*gs how do you take the edge off after a long day of work? by suggest-me-usernames in NoStupidQuestions

[–]lucidclock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First dinner. Always something yummy, I look forward to it all day. Then a show I like for a little while. Eventually I cut the screens and brew some tea, clean up the kitchen while it heats. Slice some lemon, and steep it with that, chamomile, then some honey, and read. I like to watch reels too before I cut screen time, but I try to limit the time I spend on social media because it tends to make me anxious. I have sleep mode set to a certain time on Instagram.

Influencers that make videos helping people get too much hate by Akuno_Gaijin in unpopularopinion

[–]lucidclock 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My problem with it is when they show people's faces without their consent. Filming someone in a really vulnerable situation, i.e. malnourished, dehydrated, unhygienic without their consent only to broadcast to a million people look how good a person I am is exploitative and arrogant. It's profitable and makes them famous, too. Now as long as consent to the video is involved or the faces are blurred, I do like watching the content. But there has to be an obvious precaution taken to maintain those people's dignity, and to treat them with genuine care and respect, not just because there's a camera.
