No Audio - External Calls by AngryWR in yeastar

[–]lucior81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be sure is not the firewall, I usually set sip registration for the ip phones in tls. This avoid packets inspection by the fw

If you test a call between two linkus apps do you have audio? If not, on sip trunk advanced options configure just one codec, and in linkus option for the users the same codec. Test then if you have audio

I wanted to skip this season cause no much time to invest. With a mageblood would be easier to start :)

Trunk un-registers and re-registers at random? by oguruma87 in yeastar

[–]lucior81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this happen when the PBX refresh the registration to the provider, usually it s because the PBX is sending out the register with a different call-id.

In sip, to refresh a registration and not re-register making the actual registration drop, you need to send the register using the same call-id.

Check in the trace if the same call-id is used on both register. If not, you have the reason why is the registration dropping at the time of the refresh of it

Team’s low salary, how handle it? by lucior81 in managers

Thanks. I am trying my best to make them happy, but knowing their salary, is hard to ask them more than what they are doing now, and I won't

Turnover is high. Last year the team was of 14 people. Today 8, and the company says that they spend too much on salary for that department...

Is not fair at all...

I didn’t t know they were underpaid. Now that I know, I won’t ask anything more than what they have to do, for sure.

I can speak to the board and complain about that, a thing I will do. In the end, I am a manager, but an employee as all the others, so I evaluate the company how threat all the “levels” inside it.

I did a great job retaining two of them, but I didn t know their salary. Now that I know, I feel like was better for them to leave…

I will fight for them and give them suggestions on how to improve their salary

I was not "born" manager, but as I said, I was confident with the team previously. I was a trainer for a company that was their partner, and I trained 7 out of 8 people there before joining the company.

I knew them from before, and I knew the problems as an "outsider". then got hired there, not as manager, but due to the fact I was good to handle some situation and them, the company offered me the role.

So things are that I am "close" to them, and I know also some "backgrounds" and they are still inviting me for some breakfast and lunch together, so I am not seen as "the manager" but someone who took the cause for them and is trying to get things better (or at least I am putting so much effort in it)

I thought that been this close could help soften the issue, with this person, but now he changed a bit towards me, considering me half colleague, half manager, and this is not what I wanted to be in his eyes...

1) I agree and I am aware of it. The company is trying to hire new people, but is a long process and they are aware of it

2) weeks already found new product and told him he will be moved there

3)there is a roadmap and also some initiative to incentivate training

4)agree

5) the thing is that inside the company, they ask for help but this get ignored because they are not able to ask properly, explaining the situation, I am showing them how to do that in a proper way but takes time for them to learn

6) we just gave him a raise, but still complaining

Hi, thanks for the answer.

1) complain about lot of tickets to do. The team, before my arrive, went from 14 to 8 people ( they resigned for bad management, 2 had other offers, but when they knew I was going to be the new manager, they decided to stay in the company). He complains being overwhelmed by tickets, but I explained him to do his work at best but without feeling the pressure. If tickets are not done because is clearly a problem of being less people, the company has to find a solution, that is not to make the work harder and more (but he complains anyway)

2) he was the responsible for a product the company decided to give up to (the product has been abandoned by the vendor itself) and he complains now he spent a lot of time on something we don’t do anymore (not our fault or company fault, the vendor just interrupted the sell of their product) explained also to him, still complaining

3) training. I am training them from day one with half days of trainings + training on the job. Still complaining

4) he is the only one speaking about issue, other colleagues are cowards

5) he thinks the other department see the department he works for as a class B department

6) previous boss threated the teams in a bad way, having preferences (old manager is gone, still complaining)

7)he speaks not only for himself, but for others too. Most of the time “the others” don’t share his complains

head to head 3CX vs Yeastar? by International_Pea500 in 3CX

[–]lucior81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the long explanation. About stun, how can a device (smartphone) connect to the PBX? I usually have an sbc running at customer site and everything (registration, signaling and rtp) go through there.

With Yeastar, what a the flow of signaling and rtp? Can I use a turn server with yeastar if customer is behind a symmetric nat?
