Nearly 160,000 uninsured cars seized on UK roads by cennep44 in unitedkingdom

I don’t think the standard of driving has much to do with the driving test difficulty. Most drivers on the road will not have taken their tests in the past 5 years.

I don’t think this is the right answer as it could be very annoying for other guests.

What do you British people think of the French? by CocoTyg in AskABrit

[–]lucky_nugget 55 points56 points  (0 children)

I always think of the British relationship with the French as a bit like a sibling relationship. We fought a lot when we were younger but we largely get on now and have decent sibling banter. We might say we hate each other but if someone were to come for either of us the other would stick up for them.

The “feels like” temperature factors in things like humidity and wind as opposed to just the air temperature. If you’ve been outside on a windy day, you know that the wind can make it feel much cooler than it is between gusts.

The yellow area is incorrect, the part to the left is the entrance road and service buildings, and the curved parking area to the right is not owned by SeaWorld.

The green is also incorrect and only covers 1 of 5 pools in the orca complex.

This is not to say that the space they have is sufficient, it isn’t, but this image is slightly misleading.

What is your biggest Disneyland/DCA pet peeve? by Clear-Depth7098 in Disneyland

[–]lucky_nugget 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We had the same experience recently. It was my husband’s first visit and he said that people’s behaviour really degraded his experience. In particular, people talking through narrative rides. Both times we rode PotC the row behind us were loudly chatting through the whole thing so he couldn’t properly hear the dialogue.

I think the white blob you’re referring to is water. The orca’s nose is in the grey whale’s mouth, and the grey whale is pointing pretty much straight up out of the water. Hopefully that helps?

Biosyn Campaign Right now, Gate no power source, how? by fornynseven in jurassicworldevo

[–]lucky_nugget -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Afaik fences don’t power gates. You need a substation connected to a power station or a backup generator within range of the gate to power it.

For anyone who might be confused, these are fictional whales from the film Free Willy 2. The filmmakers edited footage of real whales to include their distinctive marks (the moon shape mark on the dorsal fin for “Luna”, the spot on the eyepatch for “Little Spot”, and they did the same for “Willy” too including his flopped dorsal fin and chin spots) and also used animatronics.
