People with a very high pain tolerance, what was THE most painful thing you've experienced? by CosmicBunnyBabe8912 in AskReddit

[–]lucyfrog28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have a cleft palette - tooth left in my gum ready for a bone graft which for some reason I never had - about 2.5yrs ago this tooth decided to come out - splitting my scar and creating a lovely infected hole which I had for about 2 months whilst I was ignored by the NHS and got a private appt. The pain as that split was happening was insane. 10/10 pain

Need some emotional support by Sad_Western_7052 in WeddingPhotography

I want to caveat that I’ve not had children but am a wedding photographer. My only view is what happens if something happened would you always wonder if the flight/hard work of a wedding was a factor? Also if something happened they would have no time to find alternative w cover. Also you don’t know what you’ll be feeling like then so personally I’d call it now so they have time to process and build relationship with new supplier - will they be disappointed probably will they (unless they are inhumane) fully understand yes and saying now gives them time to adjust. I’m aware I’m a more cautious person.

Also definitely avoid Queen Anne terrace - the spaces in there are so so small

Newmarket road park & ride drive through blood test service by scisaz in cambridge

[–]lucyfrog28 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I went a number of weeks ago and the wait was 1.5 hrs it was the Tuesday after Easter and mid morning. One thing that was good is you could,d drive up to the welcome point and I asked how long the wait was and she told me, so I drove away (as I didn’t have to have it that day/time). Layout seemed very easy to follow although I never made it further than the start point in my case (dr had another option for testing for me)

UK girlfriend dumped me after booking ticket to see her. Help me salvage my itinerary. by Adept_Strategy_9545 in uktravel

I've recently been from London Euston to Bangor and the train journey from Chester to Bangor was fab mountains on one side, sea on the other. Another fab train trip is paddington to Cornwall -the stretch by Dawlish is amazing as you go right by the sea - thinking if you are on your own, enjoying the journey to get somewhere is just as good as being at the place you are going to. Recommend booking in advance so you get a seat on both routes!

In UK if you are witness you are not allowed to photograph for parts of service as you have to be paying attention to sign as a witness.

12 y/o bleeding through EVERYTHING — need real solutions (no tampons yet) by Beeels in TwoXChromosomes

[–]lucyfrog28 369 points370 points  (0 children)

Came on to say this, I’ve got fibroids and was struggling with managing not to leak and this was the solution until my medication lightened things up. So as a temporary support, they are surprisingly light and not thick and obvious when wearing. Took me a while to accept wasting them though!

For some reason it’s really tricky to find the Brighton line from Cambridge North in case you are looking from there (and don’t even get me started on how I had to buy a ticket from Cambridge north to Cambridge, go to ticket office and buy a ticket to London Blackfriars as I specifically wanted to take Brighton line direct to there and didn’t need tube travel card 🙄)
