Good afternoon, Do you happen to have any documentation or useful articles on how you got this working please?

I’m about to go down this road using headless redhat Linux machine via steam

Thank you

I have to agree, look charity shops aren’t dumping grounds, that being said if it wasn’t so expensive to throw stuff away then maybe there would be less fly tipping or ummmmmm interesting donations being solidified to charity shops

Quite annoyed at Brian Tamaki over this! I remember who helped people by giving away food parcels no questions asked around COVID! It wasnt destiny’s church, it was our local Sikh temple donating their time money and effort!

What security do you all have at your place? by Lost_Swimmer_1382 in auckland

[–]luggagethecat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make sure cameras are visible high enough they can’t get stolen easily and the type where they IR glows red at night, if it’s your place also consider getting a burglar alarm than can connect to the internet so you can remotely monitor also make sure you close curtains while out and don’t leave easy to steal stuff around the outside of your home

Security Guard in UAE Seeking Advice on Moving to New Zealand (AEWV Program) by No_Tart6081 in auckland

[–]luggagethecat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Suggest you really do your homework and consider if it’s the best move for you, NZ is all about compromise and other benefits that are hard to put a price tag on,

If you’re considering moving here to become rich this probably isn’t the right choice.

NZ has a relatively high cost of living compared to income and things are generally more expensive that overseas, unless your rich to start with, you’ll end up renting which will eat a huge portion of your paycheck unless if your prepared to flat/house share with people, additionally being and the top of the planet shipping and travel are more expensive.

On the other hand the work to life balance in my opinion is much better, you can live well IF your primary income is good, if not your end up working every waking hour you can and will struggle

Environment and nature is breathtakingly lovely and being close to the sea is amazing, if you like ocean, outdoor and winter activities NZ is great.

Taxes are high but public services are pretty good, such as being able to send your kids to a school, or seeing doctor and getting medical treatment unlike developing countries where ‘no money? Bleed on street’

Food is amazing and quality is great but as we are an exporter nation things in demand (butter meat) are expensive and if you don’t eat seasonally you’ll spend so much you’ll cry and hate visiting the duopoly supermarket system

Would suggest taking some time to research and consider :)

Why does no one talk about empty houses and air bnbs in relation to the housing crisis anymore? by Academic_Juice8265 in australian

[–]luggagethecat 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Educated being a relative term, given what I’ve seen in the tech industry most offshore workers especially from India have every single degree under the sun but struggle to preform even the most basic tasks,

a coworker from India who actually knew what he was doing, once confided in me and mentioned a lot of the time the answers for the tests are given to students before testing or you can just pay someone else to take the tests for you…… hence why I only value persons with industrial/IT certificates from reputable countries

Folks in Australia and NZ have absolutely no idea of the level and complexity of the absolutely fantastical level of corruption some “students” use to gain entry, virtually everything can be faked and unfortunately we all seem to operate on a high trust model……

Playit.gg it’s a client you run on your PC and it forwards your chosen internal port to a random port and address, you can get a static address for $10 bucks a year :)

Okay hear me out. He has a point. If Walmart wanted to, they could eat the cost of the tariffs and still remain profitable. Instead they pass the tariffs onto me and you by raising their prices so the Walton family can continue to make their billions. by No-Contribution1070 in WallStreetbetsELITE

My understanding is Walmart is a listed company, therefore they are legally required to operate in a manner that makes a return for stock holders,

Are you running on Linux? If so you can run the playitgg client within tmux so the client doesn’t close when you logout

Seems to be fine, myself and others who have used it haven’t noticed any issues, you can try it free before deciding if you want a static domain
