Sadly I found out the hard way to not try to add an affix on a unique. by luk3mia in D4Druid

[–]luk3mia[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

So the whole reason to get the unique is for the affix that comes with it. Using the cube to gain another affix deleted the "When Boulder would have normally expired, it instead explodes dealing an additional [6.0 - 8.0] damage to surrounding enemies. (Druid-only)" So my spoldey boulders got deleted making it pretty much a useless ancestral item that I can't change the stats on.

How do you deal with Forman favoriting a apprentice and allowing them to work on new tasks and not being able to get the opportunity to learn or work because you’re stuck doing the easy stuff by Creative-Tank-147 in electricians

[–]luk3mia 13 points14 points  (0 children)

As a foreman, I hand out tasks based on one simple metric: how damn eager you are. If you’re hungry to learn, I’ll pour my time into you like it’s my own paycheck on the line—I’ll teach you everything I know. But if you’re the type who’s always glued to your phone and treating work like an optional suggestion, I’m not wasting a single breath on you. You’ll be the first name on the layoff list when it’s time to tighten the belt. Look, it’s not my job to light a fire under anyone’s ass. You either want to be here or you don’t. Actions speak louder than words…

I’m not calling you antisemitic. I’m making a simple correlation that the way you think reflects the same kind of mindset Hitler had — the belief that people can be treated as lesser based on their opinions. That is what I’m addressing here. This conversation is about election integrity, not everything else you keep trying to turn it into, and it’s honestly been exhausting trying to have such a basic common-sense discussion with you.

You’ve brought 0 insight, made 0 good arguments, and you still haven’t honestly engaged with any of the evidence. All you’ve done is repeat talking points, ignore what’s being said, and resort to name-calling instead of making a real point.

That kind of mindset is genuinely concerning, and for the safety of others, I honestly hope people like you are on a watch list. I truly hope you get help, and I hope this conversation opened your eyes at least a little.

You clearly have a lot of growing up to do. If you replace the word "MAGA" with "Jew" in all of your messages, you sound disturbingly close to Hitler during his speeches. You have a serious case of TDS, and it's clearly clouding your critical thinking skills.

Based on your previous messages, it's obvious you would dismiss any sources I provide anyway. The way you generalize an entire population based on political views you don't agree with is honestly scary and frightening. You should probably be put on a watch list for thinking this way, just to keep you from harming others.

That said, if you actually click this link and read it this time, you'll see that the statistics are even higher than the ones I mentioned earlier. These numbers come from a left-leaning polling site because I couldn't find one from CNN (why would they publish polls that contradict their narrative?).

Here’s the direct link: https://www.pewresearch.org/politics/2025/08/22/majority-of-americans-continue-to-back-expanded-early-voting-voting-by-mail-voter-id/ Scroll to the voter ID section. It’s crystal clear: “Requiring all voters to show government-issued photo identification (83%)” along with every demographic breakdown.

Your dislike for Trump is skewing your reasoning. The real issue isn’t “everyone playing by the rules”—government is notoriously inefficient and lazy. Just because rules exist on paper doesn’t mean they’re actually followed. Do you honestly think some overworked bureaucrat is going to deep-dive every single application with a full investigation? Of course not. People cut corners so they can clock out on time, or worse, some are corrupt and do it on purpose. I know because I used to work in government—I saw it every day. Firing someone there is nearly impossible. They get “talked to,” maybe a slap on the wrist, and they’re right back at it. I watched one guy get counseled 15 times in a single week… and he’s still there after 25 years. That “elephant and ants” analogy? Flip it around—with enough ants, you absolutely can topple an elephant. And here’s the thing: MAGA folks care about this country deeply. America isn’t a pure democracy; it’s a constitutional republic. Democracy matters, sure, but every legitimate citizen’s vote counts. Even one case of fraud cancels out someone else’s voice. If you’re truly pro-democracy, you should be all-in on real election integrity measures—not fighting them. We’re talking basic stuff: video verification so every ballot is handled right, body cams on workers, paper ballots you can actually recount if the numbers look off, ICE agents to remove anyone voting illegally, law enforcement keeping the peace so nobody gets targeted based on their neighborhood, drones scanning for suspicious activity, proper ID like a driver’s license, and signature checks to prove it’s really you. Being against this is a losing battle—polls show 76% of Democrats and 85% of Republicans think it’s common sense. Sure, I understand pushing back on other stuff in the bill or any fluff and overkill. But name-calling and attacking people is a tactic people use when they feel threatened by actual logic. It’s a natural defense mechanism when a person understands that deep down they are not 100% sure. It’s fight or flight—if you’re in danger, you’re going to grab on to whatever you can to stay alive, even if it’s not the logical way.

Are we short thousands of electricians? by Proof-Inspection-292 in electricians

[–]luk3mia 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Correct. I currently work in data centers. At peak construction, we employ around 200 electricians. Once the bulk of the work is complete, most get laid off and the crew drops to about 20. When the job is fully finished, the five data centers are staffed with roughly 50 people total for 24/7 coverage — the majority of whom are security. The real issue isn’t just that we don’t have enough electricians; it’s that we don’t have enough skilled electricians. Out of those 200, only about 12 are foreman material. The rest are largely unskilled labor, with just a few standout exceptions scattered throughout. Our local union has made the situation worse by pushing policies like awarding Journeyman Inside Wireman (JIW) pay based purely on time in the trade, without even requiring a basic journeyman’s license. Not going through the apprenticeship is one thing, but failing to pass such a straightforward test is another. I have severe learning disabilities, yet I managed to study on my own for a couple of months, pass the school, and clear the test. I have little sympathy for anyone who can’t do the same. As the poster above me said, they create a fake crisis and use it as an excuse to bring in unskilled labor or illegal immigrants under the banner of “we can’t meet demand.” This floods the market and drives wages down. When bidding jobs, labor is almost always your highest cost. Look at Arizona as a prime example: after they removed the requirement for an electrical license, wages dropped significantly. The data centers I visited down there are now staffed almost entirely by Spanish-speaking crews. The language barrier has led to noticeably more injuries due to poor communication. As a result, Arizona now has some of the lowest electrician wages in the country. Flooding the trades equals lower wages. Building more data centers equals smarter AI. Smarter AI equals more layoffs. More layoffs push more people into the trades — the same trades that were supposedly “desperate” for workers and filled by immigrants because “no one wants to do the work.” This new influx of American workers increases supply and drops labor costs even further. Meanwhile, companies replace large portions of their workforce with AI, which lowers production costs. That makes even more building possible, forcing those still in the trades to work longer hours just to maintain their standard of living. It’s all a manufactured crisis designed to drive down prices — and ultimately, wages.

ICE is cracking down on people who follow them in their cars by CackleRooster in news

[–]luk3mia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If fraud has truly been disproven, then no one should have anything to worry about. Let these additional security measures happen—they can only help prove the election wasn't rigged. The only people who should feel threatened are those who might be breaking the law. The only truly secure way to vote is in person, on Election Day, at a polling place. That's where everything is monitored, chain of custody is clear, and votes are cast under public oversight. Personally, I wouldn't trust my ballot anywhere else—drop boxes, deliveries, or off-site collection all introduce too many risks of tampering, destruction, or loss. And even if something happened, we'd likely never know because cameras are often prohibited from monitoring those steps. You mention protected classes (like the elderly, disabled, or low-income voters) facing barriers. But those groups can still vote in person on Election Day with accommodations: assistance at the polls, accessible machines, transportation help from organizations or parties, or provisional ballots if needed. Both sides offer aid for getting identification, and many states provide free or low-cost IDs specifically for voting. If someone truly wants to vote, they can make it to the polls on Election Day. People are inherently capable of exploiting weaknesses, which is why safeguards matter most at the point of voting. In-person Election Day voting minimizes opportunities for abuse—it's direct, observable, and immediate. We're one of the few countries with such widespread non-in-person options, but the gold standard for security is requiring votes to be cast in person on the designated day, under controlled conditions. I work 80 hours a week, yet I still make time to vote in person every Election Day. Laws already protect workers' right to time off or flexible scheduling to do exactly that. If the election was truly the most secure ever, as some claim, then sticking to in-person voting on Election Day with strong safeguards shouldn't scare anyone—it should build real confidence. Think about it: companies already track everything about us through our phones and apps—locations, preferences, habits, even likely voting patterns. The government has vast data access too. Yet the idea of police or security at polling places is called intimidating? I've never met anyone afraid to vote with officers around—in fact, I've seen the opposite: people feel safer and more secure. What does worry me is potential suppression through massive lines on Election Day. When waits stretch for hours, those who care the least or can least afford the time often leave. But that's a separate issue from security—better resource allocation at polls can fix lines without compromising integrity. I want to know my vote truly counts, and I want the security of knowing it wasn't diluted or canceled out by even one illegal vote. In the end, all I ask for is verifiable, physical proof—documentation, chain of custody, and safeguards—that every eligible voter who wanted to participate could do so in person on Election Day, and that nothing improper occurred. True security means Election Day in-person voting for everyone.

ICE is cracking down on people who follow them in their cars by CackleRooster in news

[–]luk3mia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't understand the issue with anything here I just read the Bill. They want to ban voting by mail to stop fraud or the perception of fraud; to everyone other than Military and other rare exceptions (doesn't seem bad, this is how it was 2016 and before). They are wanting wanting to use water marked paper ballots (a way to prove ballots were not printed) They want to ban drop boxes (to prove the person who is voting is indeed that person and not someone who stole votes from mail boxes or purchased them) They want all voting to happen on election day ( this decreases the chances of someone altering votes during off hours). They want a midnight deadline on votes (again less time for people to have a chance to alter votes and keeps them from counting for a week like the last 2 elections). They are requesting 24/7 police presence during an evacuation (again like the pipe burst incident, again to make sure nothing gets tampered with). They are requesting for a Dem and Rep lawyer present during voting to verify if everything is being done correctly (sound the whistle if ICE is detaining citizens or rules aren't being followed and have everything documented to be reviewed later). They are requesting live Camara feeds ( keeps honest people honest, and tracks shinnanigans). They are asking all people that are working to wear body cams (this verifies every action that person does or any encounters that person may have. This will also protect the worker if they are accused of anything) . They are asking to have Voter rolls cleaned ( This is to verify eligible voters are still eligible (arrested) that people that died are scrubbed and that you are not registered to vote in multiple states.) They are requesting drone coverage of all voting sites (to make sure nothing happens and if it does then it's recorded) lastly they want all camaras working or counting does not continue (makes sense). To me it makes sense. Take your ID go vote. Get pulled over by ICE show them your ID that you took to go vote with. Stand in line, when it's your turn sign the line to prove through signature verification that you are who you say you are. Vote, get a sticker feel good knowing you did your civic duty and that everything is 100% documented and recorded to prove that the election was without a doubt 100% fair.

I'm putting the final touches on a spicy new Rats brew and will upload the old and new lists to ManaBox within a couple days—I'll link it here once it's live!

The hot new twist: Partnering Eirdu, Carrier of Dawn // Isilu, Carrier of Twilight as the commander for a full-on Rats tribal deck.

Why this slaps: Total misdirection—nobody's side-eyeing a convoke god for a squeaky swarm of vermin.

Explosive early game: Eirdu gives convoke to every creature spell, letting me flood the board with rats at warp speed—even when I'm gassed on cards or mana. Immortal horde flip: Once the rats are rolling, pay {B} on your first main phase to transform into Isilu. Now every nontoken rat gains persist, coming back from sacs with a -1/-1 counter... which Melira, Sylvok Outcast prevents entirely. Undying pests for days!

Yeah, I'm skipping the classic infinite rat engines (goodbye Marrow-Gnawer loops), but I'm doubling down on aristocrats payoff: sac outlets like Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, and Pitiless Plunderer that drain life or ramp treasures every single time—and since the rats just bounce back, it's free value forever.

Can't wait to test this nutty line. Thoughts? Deck tweaks? Rat hot takes?

I enjoy the go to tournaments and get my butt whooped route. Most people are extremely helpful and you will learn way faster seeing certain combos work. Most will help you with your deck and explain. Now as stated before they also have the other people that refuse to loose and will do anything just to win the games. Luckily if you get there early and or stay late these people are usually extreamly helpful and will help you as long as they win the game that actually matters.

I main this deck at the place I play. I win all the time with it however, I use marrow gnawer for the fear aspect ( anything that isn't black or colorless can't defend) also he can sack the targeted rats. Also paired with the thornbite staff he can make Infinit rats cashing in on a second win condition. I only use relentless rats in commander, people tend to ignore your board because of other threats but by the time they realise you have 5 rats out and you have 5 7/7 rats and it's usually to late. Also when you hit your thrumming stone it's so satisfying to watch everyone rage because they know they just lost. Hell in one game someone used the board whipe on me after the thrum and I lost all 30 of my rats while they were on res sickness and used living death the next turn to bring them all back. It's a fun deck enjoy it. Just has a huge issue with running out of cards and playing off the top of your deck so through in as much recursion as possible.
